Chapter 32 - Chapter 32

Apart from us and the seven archmages, including the anticipated Saint Knights and Great Swordsmen aware of Shanon's exceptional skills, the myriad spectators present, totaling tens of thousands, were all astounded. Never could they have imagined that this cold, alluring beauty would effortlessly dispatch the renowned bearman warrior from the Orc tribe with a mere, delicate punch.

In an instant, both the stage and the audience fell into an eerie silence. Shanon, with a graceful movement, approached the dumbfounded announcer and icily declared, "I have triumphed. Would you not promptly announce it?"

The announcer startled into wakefulness, hastily exclaimed, "Representative of the Kingdom of Babunika, victorious! This round concludes. Next, we invite the representatives of the Kingdom of Reing and the Principality of Raine to take the stage."

Only then did Shanon gracefully descend from the combat platform, kneeling before me and stating, "Master, your subordinate has completed the mission."

Ignoring the onlookers, I nonchalantly pulled her into my embrace, rewarding her with a deep kiss. The ice-cold beauty swiftly responded, indulging in my frivolousness with melodious moans.

This unexpected scene left the spectators both bewildered and horrified. A supreme martial artist, bearing unparalleled skills, humbly knelt before a man like a servant, allowing him to embrace and play with her. The man who could make such a formidable figure willingly submit was undeniably terrifying.

The lifeless body of the bearman warrior was carried away, and the competition continued. The representatives of the Orc tribe glared at Shanon, who was now tenderly entwined in my arms, nursing a deep-seated hatred towards her.

The hatred of the Orcs was relentless. From that moment forward, they remained my adversaries until, eventually, their incessant nuisance forced me to eradicate their entire race.

But that's a tale for another time.

Soon after, it was Babunika's turn in the magical competition. When the announcer declared that the opponent was the representative of the Water Nymph tribe, I felt a surge of interest. Dismissing Shanon with the "Levitation" spell, I floated to the magical ice platform, proclaiming, "I am Wu Lai, representing the Kingdom of Babunika."

"The Harbinger of Elven Destruction," a title apparently notorious among the spectators, prompted a chorus of gasps and whispers. Linca, seated among the judges, chuckled lightly, saying, "This rascal always enjoys the spotlight. I wonder how he earned such a notorious title. 'The Harbinger of Elven Destruction'—he truly lives up to it."

A flash of blue light, and a miniature beauty, adorned with wings as delicate as cicada wings, appeared before me. Despite her diminutive size, her graceful figure and exquisite features rivaled even the likes of Yaye and Liviya. In my eyes, she possessed an added touch of loveliness.

Encountering an elf for the first time, especially one so exceptionally beautiful, it was no wonder they were hailed as the "Ambassadors of Beauty." Truly, she was breathtaking.

A melodious, silver-bell-like voice suddenly echoed in my ears, "Wu Lai, she is Princess Amber of the Water Nymph tribe. Her proficiency in water magic surpasses mine. Be cautious; she is a formidable opponent."

I turned to glance at Ice Clearshadow in the judges' seat, winking at her. Her face blushed deeply, gracefully lowering her beautiful head.

Princess Amber formed hand seals with her pure white jade-like hands, her petite body radiating a swift blue glow as water elements condensed rapidly.

This magic was familiar to me—not because of its name but due to its execution speed and precise control of water elements. Princess Amber, seemingly an embodiment of water elements, was a spectacle to behold.

However, instead of the "Water Wheel Slash" magic failing due to its power, my astonishment came from her rapid water element manipulation, surpassing my own. It was as if she were an integral part of the water itself.

Several water wheels rushed towards me. Reacting swiftly, I raised my right hand, and a spatial distortion manifested, forming a barrier known as my self-created spatial defense magic, the "Dimensional Shield."

This shield, formed by the collapse of space, was impervious unless the attack was powerful enough to rupture space. To my knowledge, only the detestable Demon Lord Lucifer, Yaye, and the lazy fellow Livoth could boast such capabilities.

The razor-sharp "Water Wheel Slash" struck the "Dimensional Shield," splashing water in all directions. True to my expectations, the shield remained unscathed.

Princess Amber, witnessing this peculiar defensive magic for the first time, was taken aback. Nevertheless, ever since she decided to face the mysteriously notorious "Harbinger of Elven Destruction," she had prepared herself to confront an unprecedented formidable foe. Though surprised by my "Dimensional Shield," she harbored no fear.

As a princess of the Water Nymph tribe, Amber possessed extraordinary water magic abilities from a young age. Her use of water magic not only surpassed ordinary mages in power but also required no incantations. This was the unique talent of the Water Nymphs.

With the failure of the "Water Wheel Slash," Amber extended her hand, pointing into the void, and declared, "Come forth. 'Polar Hail.'"

In an instant, fist-sized hailstones descended like raindrops from the sky, covering an area half the size of the magical ice platform. It seemed she intended to counter my small-scale defense with a large-scale offense.

Water's natural enemy is fire. Raising both arms and spreading them wide, I cast the intermediate fire magic, "Solar Blaze." A giant fireball, resembling the sun, shot effortlessly from my hands, accompanied by flickering electric sparks and a resounding roar.
