"Asia! JUMP!"
A massive magic circle appeared beneath her feet and a second smaller one on her hands.
'If you ever feel you're in danger, don't hesitate to release your strongest attack, even if you're in a public area. I'd rather attend a hundred funerals than attend yours.'
"[GALICK THUNDER!]"
BOOOOM!

.
Akeno trusted her instincts. There was something monumentally wrong at this moment. So she unhesitantly pumped over two-thirds of her energy into this one attack.
Cloudless skies that shown brightly above them darkened instantly. The air was over-saturated with the power of her light energy and mana as it coalesced together.
"[GALICK THUNDER!]"
A fiery massive column of purple thunder the size of a large room struck the ocean waters in a flash. The effects were instant.
BOOOOM!
The intense heat from the amalgamation of mana and light energy caused a steam explosion from the sudden evaporation. For a brief moment, there was a "crater" on the ocean's surface, as if someone scooped out thousands of kilolitres of water.
The power from the attack caused a massive shockwave to immediately propagate. The power of the attack, the rapid evaporation of water, and the resulting steam explosion all combined to create a powerful shockwave that tore its way not only through the air, but underwater as well.
The combined intensity and the large displacement of water created several tsunamis of varying sizes in different directions.
All these aspects combined to form one massive shredder that extended for tens of kilometres in all directions. The first three aspects were especially the most dangerous. Anything within a fifty-metre radius would've been ripped to shreds.
As the steam slowly dissipated, crackles of purple lightning and spontaneously combusting flames became common sights.
In the hazy mist, Akeno hovered above the waters with her wings spread out. Her pajamas were slightly singed from the after-effects, but as the initiator of such an attack, she was largely unharmed.
*Huff*…*Huff*…*Huff*…*Huff*…*Huff*…*Huff*
What affected her was the fatigue from the sudden drain in her reserves. Combining her flame affinity with her father's holy lightning was not something so easy to accomplish.
Regardless, she was sure whatever threat was here was deader than dead. Akeno put her all into this attack and did not hold anything back. A third of her reserves remained and she could feel them refilling.
Just a short rest and she'd be able to--
"?!?!"
Her neck tingled again. It was so intense it felt as if the tip of a blade was pressed against it. She quickly turned around, only to be confronted with a blurry figure lunging at her with a magic circle in their arm.
[Ah…]
She knew she couldn't react in time. That circle would touch her forehead before she'd be able to raise her gua--
Su!
Like a knight in shining armour, Asia appeared above the figure with her fist reeled back. Several dark lines covered it and the mana she felt from it…was overflowing.
BOOOM!
The strike was so loud it sounded like a thunderclap. Asia's fist directly hit its target on the figure's spine.
CRUUNCH!
A large snapping sound as bones were crushed sounded alongside the thunderclap before the figure was sent flying towards the water's surface.
BOOOM!
Another explosion ensued. The kidnapper hit the water so hard they rebounded as if they'd hit concrete.
Su!
Asia very quickly appeared below the kidnapper and punched upwards, accurately hitting them in the gut.
Gu! …suuuuu…
They were sent flying upwards towards Akeno who held two large golden lightning spheres in her arms. Her eyes were filled with viciousness and without hesitation, she threw them.
Puchi! Puchi!
If the kidnapper was still alive, then they were definitely dead after suffering a spear to the heart and stomach.
Akeno didn't even need to think about it. To be accurate, she didn't think at all. Such a blatant threat to hers and Asia's lives needed to be exterminated with ruthless efficiency.
*Plop…*
The would-be kidnapper fell into the water and gradually sunk below it. The two holes on his body, each the size of three men's fists were filled with water.
*Huff* *Huff* *Huff* *Huff*
"Akeno's breaths were heavy. She tiredly stared at where the corpse was still clearly visible…and boiling--
"Don't look!"
Asia swiftly appeared in front of Akeno and covered her field of vision.
"Don't look, Akeno. I know what happens. It's not nice."
"Asia…"
Akeno's river of worry flowed anew when she saw Asia's current state. Her sister in all but blood suffered from various burns across her body, particularly her face.
When Asia appeared below the kidnapper in order to punch them upwards, she'd exposed herself to temperatures exceeding the surface of the sun. It was only for less than a second, but temperatures easily reaching seven-thousand degrees celcius still left several burn spots on her skin.
Her pajamas were thankfully made of cotton so they didn't melt onto her skin. Several patches of fabric were burnt off, especially the parts that came into contact with droplets of water. If Asia had stayed there for several moments longer, all of her clothes might've burnt off.
Thankfully, her skin was healing at a visible rate. Her sacred gear allowed her to recover nigh-instantaneously, making her a hardy tank with a rapid healing factor like her brother.
"Don't worry about me, Akeno-chan~. This is nothing to me."
"You…who would worry about you!? WHY DID YOU CHASE AFTER THEM!? DID YOU NOT KNOW THE WATER WAS HOT!?!?!"
"..."
Asia looked down at the water. She didn't have heat resistance like Akeno so she could feel a tingly sensation below her feet. She was far enough to only need a negligible amount of mana to keep her skin from flaying off.
Thinking upon it now, if she paid attention, she would've felt the water was very hot.
"Oh..."
She looked at the surface once more, specifically where the corpse was. Whoever that person was, they were definitely dead.
"Let's go home, Akeno."
"Home!? You still haven't explained to me what you were thinking!"
"Ahh…"
A lopsided grin spread on her face.
"Teehee~."
"..."
Vein Twitch!
"Asia!!!"
Asia could only smile lightly. No matter what, she had to keep Akeno distracted. Until her big brother came back, she didn't want Akeno to focus on the fact that she killed someone.
Asia was no stranger to corpses. She even had people die in front of her. Her Twilight Healing couldn't save everyone after all. But Akeno? Asia was afraid her friend would break down.
"Maaah! You'll scold me when we get home. I'm hungry right now."
Atleast temporarily, she had to divert her friend's attention.

"So…mind telling me who sent you?"
High up in the skies, Igor held the mangled soon-to-be corpse of the kidnapper. It was a man, grievously injured to the point where he'd die at any moment…and he knew it.
His left foot was blown off from the explosion of the rune, leaving him with a stump. The bones in his body had either cracked, splintered, or crushed to dust from the force. A devil like him, no matter how strong the physique of his clan was, would die in less than a minute. There was no need to talk.
"..."
The devil remained silent in defiance. The moment they failed to kidnap the two kids, he knew one way or another, he'd be killed to avoid information leakage.
"Tch."
Igor felt slightly miffed at how he couldn't torture the information out of him. Even illusions might send this scum croaking a lot sooner--
"Sirzechs…Lucifer…"
"..."
The man uttered the name of Sirzechs with all the strength he could muster. He was a dying man so he could atleast release the name of his superi--
"Do I look like an idiot to you?"
"Sirze--"
CRUNCH!
Igor crushed the man's skull. Curtains of brain matter, fluids, and skull fragments leaked through the gaps in his fingers.
He horribly mutilated the man's head without blinking an eye, for he would not be made an idiot.
"Do I look like I was born yesterday?"
The amount of years he's lived weren't for decoration. If such weak deception could fool him, he would've long since been played around by the devils.
"Atleast your loyalty to your organisation is unquestionable."
He released his grip and let the man fall to the boiling waters below where the rest of his comrades were. He didn't glean much meaningful information, but he had a lead.
[Someone from Asgard is definitely involved in this. They'd have to be a god if they wanted to produce or acquire these suits.]
Different from the one Eunice Gremory wore, Igor felt the remnants of Divine Energy in these suits. These were probably made or procured in a hurry, likely for this singular operation.
It could also be a trap made to misdirect his attention, but he'd take it nonetheless. Those runes he read were no doubt the work of a Norseman.
[Asgard…]
If Odin followed the same logic as the gods he knew, then that old man most definitely had higher strength than portrayed. Perhaps he also had a true form or something similar. Either way, Igor knew he didn't have the strength to bulldoze his way through Asgard.
"Three years…"
If he wanted to grab Odin by his scruffy beard and beat the answers out of him, then he needed to train hard.
"I have to make a breakthrough."

I read the last statements and just remembered the scene in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" where Aang grabbed Ozai's beard. I'm imagining Igor will pull up to Odin's throne and grab the man by the beard.
