Chapter 118 - There Is No Such Person Anymore

After Xia Qingying was killed, her time domain faded away, and everything around Horn returned to normal. The leaves that had frozen in mid-air resumed their descent, and the world seemed to awaken once more.

Mr. Jiang, Jiang Wan, and the others trembled as they regained their senses, confusion flashing in their eyes. They had no idea what had transpired during their unconsciousness, only recalling that Xia Qingying had unleashed some incredible power before everything went black.

When they looked toward Horn and saw the bloodied remains at his feet, they finally exhaled in relief. The grotesque chunks of flesh before him were unmistakably Xia Qingying's.

Horn's figure rose into the air as he prepared to obliterate the entire Su family. Turning his right palm upward, a cluster of purple flames flickered to life. This time, he didn't bother suppressing the searing heat of the Jiuyou Purple Fire. The air grew heavy with intense heat.

Two kilometers away from the Su family estate, some of their members stood guard, clueless about the imminent destruction. They were still ushering guests away, unaware that the Su family's end was near.

Back when Horn lived under the Su family's roof, everyone humiliated him, eager to curry favor with Su Xiao's family. But Horn understood the lesson well: to cut down the grass, one must also pull out the roots.

Meanwhile, Guo Chengping, the vice president of the Imperial Capital Formation Mage Association, felt the rising heat and fear overtaking him. Crawling on his hands and knees, he begged for mercy from Mr. Wei and Mr. Qiao, "Please, speak for me. I'll do anything to survive."

Desperate and humiliated, Guo Chengping kowtowed furiously, banging his head on the ground with loud thuds.

But Mr. Wei and Mr. Qiao looked at him with disdain. This groveling figure hardly resembled the proud and arrogant Guo Chengping they knew. They remembered how he had nearly killed them earlier.

Without a hint of compassion, Mr. Wei respectfully said to Horn, "Senior Su, we're not affiliated with him."

Mr. Qiao nodded in agreement.

High in the sky, Horn made a small gesture, and the Jiuyou Purple Fire dispersed, splitting into countless small flames that rained down in all directions. One landed directly on Guo Chengping's head. Before he could utter a scream, his body disintegrated into ash, right before Mr. Wei and Mr. Qiao's eyes.

The purple flames swept across the estate, burning everything in their path. Even the Su family members guarding the manor, who were still trying to send the guests home, were incinerated within seconds. Panic spread like wildfire as the remaining guests fled for their lives.

Within mere minutes, the entire Su family was annihilated, both inside and outside the manor. Only Mr. Jiang and the others remained, standing amidst the wreckage.

Mr. Jiang's heart was heavy. The Su family had once wielded more power than his own Jiang family. Now, the once-mighty Su family had been wiped out by a single man. It all felt unreal.

As the last flames of the Jiuyou Purple Fire died out, Horn descended slowly from the sky. Dark clouds rolled in, blocking out the sun, and moments later, a light rain began to fall. The drizzle quickly turned into a heavy downpour.

Horn didn't seek shelter, nor did he protect himself from the rain. He stood there, letting the water soak him, as if he were washing away the blood of his past.

Jiang Wan made a move to approach him, concerned. But Mr. Jiang stopped her. "Let him be alone for a while, Xiao Wan."

She hesitated before pulling back.

"Brother-in-law has done the impossible," Jiang Feng said, still in awe. "Not only did he destroy the Su family, but he also easily killed the strong cultivators from Kunlun Mountain. Can any of you guess how powerful he truly is?"

The others remained silent. They had no idea that Horn had just killed a reincarnated Saint, a feat beyond their comprehension.

Suddenly, Jiang Feng's phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out to see a message from the Qin family in the Imperial Capital.

It was an invitation to the engagement banquet of Qin Tiance and Song Ruoyan, scheduled for seven days from now.

Jiang Feng's face darkened. He knew the story—Horn's Infinite Purple Eyes had been stolen and transplanted into Qin Tiance, and Song Ruoyan had once been Horn's fiancée. To top it off, Qin Tiance had recently gained a great fortune in an ancient ruin, making him the most celebrated genius in the Imperial Capital.

Jiang Feng leaned over to whisper the news to Jiang Wan and the others. Upon hearing it, Jiang Wan's face tightened with concern.

Horn, who had been standing silently in the rain, suddenly appeared beside her. With his extraordinary cultivation, he had heard every word.

"The Infinite Purple Eyes... they belong to me," Horn said quietly. His voice was calm, yet beneath it lay an undeniable resolve. "Seven days from now, Qin Tiance will no longer be in the Imperial Capital."

His statement was so casual, yet it carried the weight of an unshakable certainty.

Mr. Jiang, Jiang Zhan, and the others were immediately alarmed. The Imperial Capital was far more treacherous than Tianhai, teeming with hidden dangers. Many powerful beings had attempted to make waves there, only to disappear without a trace.

But Horn's declaration was final.
