Horn looked at Jiang Feng, who seemed deep in thought, and said, "My body, hair, and skin were given to me by my parents. I wouldn't dare to damage them—ever heard of that?"
Jiang Feng, puzzled, fell silent. Horn continued, "Using the essence of heaven and earth to regenerate an arm relies on external power. This could have unforeseen consequences on your path to immortality. Unless it's absolutely necessary, I don't recommend cutting off your limbs for regeneration."
"The path to immortality?" Everyone present was shocked. Mr. Wei, Mr. Jiang, and the others had never heard of anyone becoming immortal on Earth.
After snapping out of it, Mr. Wei and Mr. Qiao bowed deeply to Horn to express their gratitude. Horn remained calm. "Stand up straight," he said. "It was a small effort to help regenerate your arms. Besides, this issue began because of me; I couldn't stand by and do nothing."
Jiang Feng, still scheming, sent Horn a private message, "Brother-in-law, can you regenerate any part of the body? I was thinking about my arms, but now... if I cut off something else, could you use the essence of heaven and earth to regenerate it? Would that part become... particularly strong?"
Horn, too tired to entertain Jiang Feng's foolishness, replied, "It might turn into a bean sprout."
At that, Jiang Feng quickly crossed his legs, trembling as he imagined the horrifying prospect.
Jiang Wan approached and said, "Brother Horn, it's almost time. Let's head to the Su family."
Horn nodded and waved his hand. A dark black coffin levitated beside him, following him silently. Knowing the danger of gazing at the coffin for too long, he wrapped it in a large red cloth with a flick of his storage ring. "We're here to celebrate the Su family's birthday today. Let's make it festive."
Jiang Wan organized the group into two cars, with Horn's coffin floating behind them. In the back seat, Jiang Wan sat beside Horn, while Jiang Feng drove and Jiang Zhan occupied the passenger seat. Jiang Zhan, watching the scenery pass by, looked solemn. The upcoming confrontation with the Su family could end with the Jiang family being wiped out in Tianhai.
Before leaving, Jiang Zhan had ordered the rest of the Jiang family to gather near the Su family manor. They were prepared to rush in at a moment's notice.
"Brother Horn, what's your real cultivation level?" Jiang Wan asked, her curiosity growing. She had no doubt Horn's power far exceeded the early stage of the Heavenly Star Realm.
Horn smiled. "Guess."
Jiang Feng took a sharp turn, causing Jiang Wan to fall into Horn's arms. Glancing back, Jiang Feng smirked proudly, thinking he was helping his sister get closer to Horn.
Jiang Wan remained in Horn's arms, gazing up at him. "Brother Horn, just tell me. Please," she teased, edging closer. Horn cursed under his breath, recognizing her flirtation. Her intoxicating scent and proximity made it difficult for him to keep his composure.
"Sit up," Horn commanded, his voice firm.
Jiang Wan bit her lip. "Tell me your true cultivation level, and I'll sit up."
Horn nodded. "Fine."
Satisfied, Jiang Wan straightened up. Both Jiang Zhan and Jiang Feng perked up, eager to hear the answer. Horn finally said, "I've become an immortal."
After this, he closed his eyes, leaving Jiang Wan confused and disbelieving. On Earth, immortality seemed impossible.
Jiang Zhan and Jiang Feng also dismissed it as a joke, but Jiang Zhan sighed quietly, "Ah, to be young."
If only they knew that Horn had practiced in the Immortal World for two thousand years, they'd realize they had no right to make such remarks.
Half an hour later, they approached the Su family manor. Today marked Su Wu's engagement banquet, and security was tight, preventing anyone without an invitation from getting close. Recognizing the Jiang family's license plates, the guards let them through without hesitation.
At the manor's entrance, Su Xiao, head of the Su family, stood with Su Yan, chatting. Su Wu, engaged in meditation after a recent breakthrough, stood silently beside them. When the Jiang family's cars arrived, Su Xiao smiled, anticipating their arrival.
Su Xiao greeted Jiang Zhan warmly, "Brother Jiang, after today, we'll be family. We should get closer!"
Jiang Zhan, however, remained stone-faced. Su Xiao assumed his silence reflected disapproval of the engagement but wasn't concerned as long as Mr. Jiang supported it. Su Xiao walked to the car, expecting Mr. Jiang to step out, but when Horn emerged instead, his expression froze.
"Su Xiao, it's been a while, and it seems you've become even more courteous!" Horn said mockingly.
Su Xiao's smile faltered, and his tone grew cold. "Brother Jiang, why is this abandoned son of the Su family in your car?"
Su Yan chimed in, "Third brother, calm down. Jiang Wan may have brought him from Linzhou."
Nodding, Su Xiao was about to respond when Jiang Wan exited the car, wrapping her arm around Horn's. "Mind your words," she said sharply. "Brother Horn is the man I love, not some 'abandoned son' of your family."
From the trunk, Jiang Feng retrieved a cuckold and threw it at Su Wu, who was still meditating. The cuckold landed perfectly on Su Wu's head, and as he opened his eyes, Jiang Feng grinned. "Su Wu, consider that a gift from my brother-in-law!"
Enraged, Su Wu crushed the cuckold in his hand, his fury evident as he saw Jiang Wan holding Horn's arm tightly. Power radiated from him, and the remains of the cuckold crumbled to dust in his grip.
