Chapter 66 - Monster Genius

Yang Hai's roar attracted considerable attention. The area he was in housed many of the Tianhai Immortal Martial Academy's top talents, and soon, several of them emerged from their villas, their eyes fixed on Su Wu's residence, curious about the commotion.

A few minutes later, Su Wu appeared from the villa, his expression proud and unyielding. His gaze first locked onto Yang Hai before shifting to Su Yan, whom he addressed with respect, "Uncle!"

Yang Hai, despite his aggressive front, had no intention of confronting Su Wu directly. His true aim was to extract compensation from the Tianhai Su family for the death of his son. "I am Yang Hai, the head of the Linzhou branch of the Hidden Department," he announced coldly. "Meng He went on a rampage in Linzhou and destroyed the entire Su family branch. My son, Yang Xuan, was there and was undoubtedly killed by Meng He. Meng He is your servant, Su Wu. You won't deny this, will you? Where is he now? Hand him over!"

Yang Hai's tone was full of accusation, his anger palpable as he directed his energy towards Su Wu. However, Su Wu merely shrugged off the pressure, shattering Yang Hai's aura effortlessly.

Yang Hai continued coldly, "As expected of someone trained by the Tianhai Su family, you're quite capable."

Su Yan intervened, asking, "Su Wu, the headquarters has already been informed of this matter. Did Meng He truly go on a killing spree in Linzhou?"

Su Wu responded respectfully, "Uncle, I tried to contact Meng He, but his phone is unreachable. I suspect something has happened to him."

Yang Hai sneered, "Meng He, with his mid-level Sky Control Realm cultivation, was sent to deal with Horn. Do you really think Horn could have bested him? From what I know, Horn is only at the early stages of the Sea Transformation Realm. If Meng He didn't go on a killing spree, why would the entire Su family branch manor be reduced to ashes? It's clear that Meng He found something valuable in Horn and wanted to keep it for you. What do you have to say now?"

Su Wu's face darkened. Before, he only knew Horn was in the Innate Realm. Now, learning that Horn had advanced to the early Sea Transformation Realm after two years of absence, he realized the situation was more serious than he thought. Horn had transformed from a near-cripple to a formidable monk in just two years.

"Yang Hai," Su Wu said coldly, "if it weren't for my uncle, I wouldn't even bother with you. You, a mere head of a Linzhou Hidden Department branch, dare to question me? You're courting death!"

Su Wu suspected something had indeed happened to Meng He, and he did not appreciate feeling out of control. Yang Hai responded angrily, "Su Wu, don't think your status as the eldest son of the Tianhai Su family means I won't act. You underestimate our Hidden Department!"

Before Yang Hai could react, Su Wu's figure blurred, and in an instant, he was in front of Yang Hai, his hand gripping Yang Hai's throat. Yang Hai, despite his higher cultivation level, was completely outmatched by Su Wu's terrifying speed and power. Beads of sweat formed on Yang Hai's forehead as he realized just how dangerous Su Wu was.

"Yang Hai, don't test my patience," Su Wu said icily. "Do you believe I could kill you right now, and the Hidden Department wouldn't demand my life in return? Our Su family would only need to pay some compensation."

Su Wu's grip tightened momentarily before he released Yang Hai, who stood frozen in fear. Su Yan intervened calmly, "Su Wu, don't be rude. Brother Yang is simply grieving and misspoke."

Su Wu nodded slightly and said, "The chance that Meng He is still alive is slim. The destruction of the Su family's branch manor is most likely related to Horn. Does Horn have any strong allies?"

Yang Hai, trying to regain some composure, said, "In Linzhou, the only person capable and willing to help Horn is Lin Zixuan. But I made sure she was lured away today. There's no way she could have been there."

Su Wu pondered this, his thoughts turning to Lin Zixuan. "Cousin, what game are you playing? Things are getting more interesting," he murmured. "The more you resist, the more satisfying it will be when I finally crush you."

He looked back at Yang Hai. "Lin Zixuan has a significant background. What if she had someone secretly protecting Horn? I need to find out Horn's exact situation."

With that, Su Wu made a call. "Check if anyone from our academy is in Linzhou right now."

As he finished the call, Su Wu suddenly struck out, his hand piercing Yang Hai's stomach. Blood spurted from the wound as Su Wu withdrew his hand, and Yang Hai crumpled in pain.

"Next time, make sure you know the full situation before you come accusing me," Su Wu warned as he descended back to the ground. Yang Hai, clutching his stomach, was too terrified and pained to retaliate, his face twisted in agony.

Su Yan watched the scene with cold detachment, his disdain for Yang Hai evident. Moments later, Su Wu's phone rang. After answering, a respectful voice informed him, "Young Master Su, Vice President Jiang Wan seems to be in Linzhou right now."

A smile curved Su Wu's lips. Jiang Wan was one of the women he fancied. However, he was unaware that Jiang Wan and Lin Zixuan were best friends. He assumed Jiang Wan was in Linzhou on unrelated business.

Dialing her number, Su Wu spoke confidently when she answered, "Vice President Jiang, I heard you're in Linzhou. Could you do me a favor and investigate someone named Horn? The Su family will be sure to reward you generously."
