Chapter 60 - I Like It

Horn ignored Jiang Wan and took Tang Yuxin's hand. "Yuxin, let's go," he said as he walked toward the backyard of the villa.

Jiang Wan, disdainful of men who only boast, called after him, "Are you running away? Before you leave, you must apologize to Mr. Qiao and Mr. Wei."

Horn glanced back at Jiang Wan. "Why do I need to prove my ability to you? Who do you think you are? Besides, I'm not interested in you. You're not even qualified to warm my bed."

Jiang Wan was taken aback. At Tianhai Immortal Martial Academy, she was treated like a goddess by both students and teachers. Men would risk anything for a chance to be with her. Yet, Horn, who had the audacity to say he wasn't interested, must be trying to escape in this dramatic way.

As Jiang Wan tried to stop Horn, Lin Zixuan intervened, grabbing her arm. "Enough, Jiang Wan. Let him go."

Lin Zixuan felt a pang of disappointment in Horn. No skill, no show. He clearly didn't have the ability he claimed, yet he boasted in front of Jiang Wan, Mr. Qiao, and the others. Such a man was not suitable for her, even though they had shared an intimate night just before.

Wang Menglu, embarrassed by Horn's behavior, apologized on his behalf and followed him and Tang Yuxin. Despite her gratitude for Horn's guidance on refining one-star elixirs, she was frustrated by his reckless boasting.

Jiang Wan, watching the trio disappear, muttered, "Zixuan, you really bring everyone home. That kid may have some talent in alchemy, but his character is questionable. Lying like that in front of us—what's the point?"

Mr. Qiao snorted. "He's just trying to show off and gain attention, probably yours, Jiang Wan. Haven't you seen this type at Tianhai Immortal Martial Academy before?"

Jiang Wan reflected and realized she had indeed encountered such behavior before. "If you want to attract a woman's attention, show your true strength, not empty boasts."

Lin Zixuan, growing more irritated, wondered if Horn had indeed been trying to catch Jiang Wan's eye. Men are truly unreliable, she thought, gritting her teeth.

"Zixuan, are you sure you can't remember who else might have visited your place?" Mr. Qiao asked, eager to identify the person who had altered the one-star Spirit Gathering formation.

Mr. Wei added gravely, "The person who changed your Spirit Gathering Formation could be the future of Xia Kingdom's formation world. We must find them for the sake of our craft."

Suppressing her frustration, Lin Zixuan replied, "Mr. Qiao, Mr. Wei, I'll do my best."

Meanwhile, in the backyard, Horn took out a hundred High-Grade spirit stones from his storage ring. Wang Menglu was about to urge Horn to stop boasting when she saw him casually pull out the spirit stones. Her words caught in her throat.

Each High-Grade spirit stone was worth ten million, making the hundred stones worth a billion. But that wasn't what stunned her. She fixated on the simple ring on Horn's left index finger. "Horn, is that a storage ring you're wearing?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Storage rings were rare on Earth, so much so that even someone as well-connected as Lin Zixuan didn't have one. Such rings were only found in ancient ruins and were highly prized.

Horn nodded nonchalantly. Wang Menglu gasped. The previous night, Horn had gifted Tang Yuxin a Legendary Level skill. Now, he casually revealed a storage ring and took out a hundred High-Grade spirit stones. Just how wealthy was he?

Tang Yuxin, too, was in shock, unable to comprehend what she was seeing. Before Wang Menglu could ask more, Horn began arranging the spirit stones on the ground, preparing to set up a formation.

Horn suddenly recalled a formation from the Immortal World known as the Immortal Clan Body Tempering Formation, perfect for Tang Yuxin's current stage of cultivation. The formation would help her quickly advance from the Qi Condensation realm to the Innate Realm.

"Horn, are you setting up a formation?" Wang Menglu asked, bewildered.

"Yes," Horn replied casually.

As Wang Menglu prepared to warn him not to overestimate himself, Horn waved his arm, instantly forming the Immortal Clan Body Tempering Formation. An intense orange light, symbolizing a perfected two-star formation, radiated from the array.

Horn had no interest in proving anything to Jiang Wan; he only cared about setting up the formation for Tang Yuxin. The powerful energy emanating from the formation caught the attention of Mr. Qiao and Mr. Wei, who were about to leave.

The two men, sensing something unusual, exchanged puzzled looks and hurried toward the backyard. Lin Zixuan and Jiang Wan, oblivious to the formation's significance, followed them out of curiosity.

When they arrived, the vibrant orange light of the Immortal Clan Body Tempering Formation was still glowing. Mr. Qiao and Mr. Wei, recognizing the perfected two-star formation, were left speechless, their disbelief etched on their faces.

A few minutes later, Mr. Wei, still awestruck, asked, "My friend, did you arrange this formation?"

"Who else?" Horn replied calmly. "Could you have done it?"

As Mr. Qiao approached to speak, Horn glanced at him. "Or could you have arranged it?"

The two elders blushed, realizing the magnitude of what they were witnessing. Wang Menglu and Tang Yuxin, still reeling from shock, watched as Mr. Qiao and Mr. Wei stood speechless before Horn.

Jiang Wan whispered to Lin Zixuan, "Does this kid know just how cool he is?" Then, with a smile, she added, "But, I like it!"
