Imperial Capital
In a luxurious villa, Qin Tiance, seated on the sofa in the living room, watched in fury as the video call was abruptly cut off. "Lin Zixuan, that bitch!" he roared.
With a loud bang, Qin Tiance crushed his cell phone. Smoke rose from his right hand as he released the phone, which shattered into powder and floated to the ground.
"Tiance, calm down," said Song Ruoyan, who was lounging in home clothes on the opposite sofa. She had just overheard Lin Zixuan's words.
"My cousin was really killed by Lin Zixuan?" Song Ruoyan asked, her expression troubled.
Qin Tiance nodded, his face darkening. "This woman, Lin Zixuan, is a madwoman. Anyone who has crossed her in the past has not ended well. A woman who dares to touch her own father with a sword—what else do you think she would fear?"
Song Ruoyan, who had entered the high society of the imperial capital, had heard numerous stories about Lin Zixuan. Compared to Lin Zixuan, her own beauty and talent seemed insignificant. She had once viewed Lin Zixuan as a target to surpass and hoped to be talked about in the same breath as Lin Zixuan.
Learning that Lin Zixuan had killed Song Xueyao just for Horn made Song Ruoyan uncomfortable. Horn was a failure—a man she had discarded. What right did he have to earn Lin Zixuan's favor? Was Lin Zixuan blind?
"Tiance, what are your plans now?" Song Ruoyan asked, biting her lip. She felt no sorrow for Song Xueyao's death. After all, Song Xueyao had laughed at her when she was disfigured by birthmarks. If such a woman died, so be it. Her agreement to let Song Xueyao become Qin Tiance's secret lover was merely a strategic move to win his favor.
"Ruoyan, even a woman like Lin Zixuan is taking action to protect Horn," Qin Tiance said. "Do you regret your decision now?"
Qin Tiance's eyes gleamed with purple light. The Infinite Purple Eyes allowed him to read people's hearts. If Song Ruoyan were lying, he would know immediately.
Song Ruoyan replied firmly, "I don't regret it! Horn is a loser who will never catch up to me. My man will only ever be you, Qin Tiance. Horn's so-called immortal talent is just a joke."
Seeing the sincerity in her eyes, Qin Tiance's mood lightened. He could tell that Song Ruoyan was speaking the truth.
"Ruoyan, find a way to let Lin Zixuan's fiancé know about her protection of Horn," Qin Tiance ordered. "Make sure it appears natural."
After Song Ruoyan nodded and went to make arrangements, Qin Tiance drummed his fingers on the coffee table, his eyes cold. "Horn, you're truly an eyesore! If you hadn't reappeared, you wouldn't be in this mess. You should have stayed hidden in the mountains. If you insist on seeking death, you've brought it upon yourself."
He muttered to himself, "What a pity! You won't witness my engagement to Ruoyan."
Meanwhile, in Linzhou
At Lin Zixuan's villa, Tang Yuxin and Wang Menglu were seated on the sofa. Lin Zixuan had arranged for Song Xueyao's body to be removed from the front yard.
A light rain began to fall outside.
Tang Yuxin, flicking Horn's forehead playfully, said, "Horn, don't dwell on the past. I'll always be by your side from now on. I will never betray you."
Neither Tang Yuxin nor Wang Menglu paid much attention to Song Xueyao's death. Lin Zixuan had already given Song Xueyao a chance to live, and the woman had chosen death instead.
Wang Menglu commented, "Horn, if Song Ruoyan knew you had given Yuxin a Legendary Level skill, she would definitely regret it and beg for your forgiveness. If she hadn't left you, you would have taught her the Legendary Level skills."
Lin Zixuan descended from upstairs, her face slightly flushed. Horn noticed that Lin Zixuan seemed to be struggling with her condition. Since she was eighteen, she had experienced intense discomfort at certain times of the night, and it was now eleven fifteen. Her symptoms would soon become overwhelming.
"Yuxin, Menglu, you two will sleep in the same room tonight," Lin Zixuan said. "I'll show you to your room."
After Tang Yuxin and Wang Menglu followed Lin Zixuan to their room, Horn headed to the first room on the east side of the second floor. It was a suite with a bathroom.
Horn took a bath and rested on the bed. The sound of a door opening caught his attention. He looked up to see Lin Zixuan, wearing lace pajamas, entering the room and closing the door behind her. Her face was flushed, and she looked uncomfortable.
It was now eleven fifteen. Lin Zixuan, normally enduring her symptoms alone, found Horn's presence in the villa difficult to ignore. Her thoughts were consumed by him, and she found herself at his door.
"Horn, besides the method you mentioned, is there truly no other way to relieve my discomfort?" Lin Zixuan asked, approaching him hesitantly.
Horn realized this was a dangerous situation. Someone with a fairy body, like Lin Zixuan, would be intensely affected by her symptoms when in close proximity to a man. The results could be catastrophic.
As Lin Zixuan, unable to control herself, pulled open her lace pajamas and let them fall away, she pounced on Horn, driven purely by instinct.
A sweet fragrance filled the air as Lin Zixuan, now in only her underwear, clung to Horn. Her actions were driven by desperation, and Horn, overwhelmed by the situation, found it impossible to resist her advances.
Horn muttered under his breath, "Do you want me to be a beast, or worse than a beast?"
As a normal man, he struggled to hold back. Lin Zixuan's charm and her proactive behavior made it increasingly difficult for him to resist.
