Chapter 117 - Chapter [117]

Riser's Mansion in the Underworld

Riser lay on the bed, with Sona in his arms, while the noise from outside the mansion echoed through the room. He furrowed his brow, irritated by the constant disturbance.

"These girls seem to be pushing themselves too hard," commented Riser, frowning disapprovingly.

Sona sighed softly, tenderly stroking Riser's face. "You're the one who told them to train on their own, dear. You can't complain now."

Riser let out another sigh, acknowledging the truth in Sona's words. "I know it was me," he muttered, resigned.

A loud bang resounded from outside, interrupting the couple's conversation. "BANG!"

"This is too much!" exclaimed Riser, annoyed, as he pulled away from Sona and got up from the bed.

Sona pouted, displeased at having her comfortable position interrupted. "Riser..."

Riser ignored Sona's protest and headed to the bedroom door. "I'm going downstairs to talk to them," he announced, determined.

Sona looked at him with a gentle expression. "Good luck, dear."

With a nod, Riser opened the door and disappeared down the hallway, leaving Sona alone in the room, anxiously awaiting her husband's return.

Riser descended the mansion's stairs with heavy steps, his expression tight with irritation at the incessant noise coming from outside. He spotted Yubelluna and Akeno in a heated argument.

"What's going on here?" asked Riser, his voice laden with authority.

Yubelluna turned to Riser, her eyes sparking with conflicting emotions. "Riser-sama, I... I was just expressing my concern for your safety."

Akeno let out a sarcastic chuckle, her expression defiant. "Concern? It sounded more like jealousy to me."

Riser looked at Akeno with surprise, unsure how to react to her provocative words. "Akeno, that's not appropriate," he reprimanded, his voice firm and authoritative.

Akeno shrugged indifferently, her defiant gaze never wavering. "I'm just being honest, Riser-sama. I see no reason to hide the truth."

Yubelluna clenched her fists in frustration, struggling to control her emotions. "Akeno, please stop this. It's not fair to taunt me like this."

Akeno crossed her arms over her chest, her defiant gaze remaining unshakeable. "You know I don't like lies, Yubelluna. And I know you're not just concerned about Riser-sama's safety."

Riser felt uncomfortable with the intensity of the exchange between the two women. He sought a way to calm the tempers and resolve the situation.

"Enough, both of you!" he declared, his firm voice echoing through the room. "I don't want to hear you arguing anymore. Yubelluna, your concerns are valid, but you need to trust me. And Akeno, provoking Yubelluna doesn't help at all. You both need to learn to understand each other and work together for the good of the Phenex family."

Yubelluna lowered her eyes, ashamed of letting her emotions spill over so blatantly. "You're right, Riser-sama. I... I'm sorry for causing trouble."

Akeno relaxed her defiant posture, realizing she had gone too far with her provocations. "I'm sorry too, Riser-sama. It wasn't my intention to cause discord."

Riser sighed, feeling relieved to have resolved the situation. "It's alright. We all make mistakes. The important thing is to learn from them and move forward together as a family."

After the conversation with Yubelluna and Akeno was resolved, Riser breathed a sigh of relief, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. He headed to the mansion's entrance door, determined to find the source of the loud noise that disturbed his peaceful moment with Sona.

Upon opening the door and stepping out into the yard, Riser was greeted by the chaos unfolding before his eyes. The yard was partially destroyed, with pieces of earth and vegetation scattered everywhere. At the center of the destruction were Nana and Mirko, panting and sweating after an intense training session.

Riser observed the two women with a mixture of admiration and concern. He knew that Nana and Mirko were incredibly strong and determined, but he also knew that their training could wreak havoc on the surrounding environment.

"You seem impressed, Tsubaki. What did you think of Nana and Mirko's training?" Riser asked, curious to hear the woman's opinion.

Tsubaki turned to Riser, an excited smile lighting up her face. "It was amazing, Riser-sama! Nana and Mirko are truly formidable. I can only imagine how they'll be during the next Rating Game."

Riser glanced at the partially destroyed yard.

"I hope they'll be able to destroy our enemies the same way they destroyed the yard," Riser thought to himself, smiling internally as he remembered that magic could restore everything.

Nana and Mirko approached Riser and Tsubaki, their faces still flushed and their hearts still racing from the intense training.

"You two really went overboard with the training, don't you think?" teased Riser, pointing to the mess around.

Nana and Mirko exchanged knowing glances before Nana responded with a mischievous smile. "We wanted to give Tsubaki a taste of what can happen during a real fight."

Riser chuckled, appreciating his companions' fighting spirit. "Well, I think you accomplished that and then some. But you need to be more careful next time. I don't want the whole mansion destroyed."

Mirko let out a giggle, running a hand through her sweaty hair. "Sorry about that, Riser-sama. We'll make sure to be more careful next time."

Tsubaki, who had been watching the conversation with a smile, decided to intervene. "Actually, there's no need to worry, Riser-sama. I can take care of this quickly."

Riser raised an eyebrow, surprised by Tsubaki's suggestion. "You can?"

Tsubaki nodded confidently. "Yes, I can use my restoration and construction magic to fix the yard in an instant. It won't be a problem."

Riser considered Tsubaki's suggestion for a moment before nodding in approval.

Nana and Mirko eagerly agreed, thanking Riser for his understanding. As Tsubaki focused on channeling her magic, an aura of energy began to surround the yard, and gradually the damage started to disappear under her care.

When Tsubaki's work was complete, the yard was restored to its former glory, with no sign of the destruction that had occurred moments before. Riser smiled satisfactorily, admiring Tsubaki's ability to solve the problem so easily.

"That was amazing, Tsubaki. You truly are a talented mage," praised Riser, his gaze full of admiration.

Tsubaki blushed lightly at the praise, humbly thanking him. "Thank you, Riser-sama. I'm glad I could help."
