Chapter 88 - Chapter [88]

City of Osaka

Azazel watched attentively as Issei struggled to do push-ups on the floor of the mansion. He could see sweat dripping down the determined young man's face, his determination evident in every movement.

"You need to strengthen your physique more, Issei," commented Azazel, his voice calm and authoritative. "So that everything goes well during the heart exchange."

Issei nodded, breathing heavily as he tried to keep up with Azazel's demanding training demands.

"I'm doing my best, sensei," replied Issei, his muscles trembling with effort. "And what about this black outfit I'm wearing?"

Azazel sighed, remembering the creation of that special outfit he had made for Issei.

"I made it some time ago," explained Azazel, observing Issei with a serious expression. "It controls gravity around it, allowing you to train in gravity 20 times higher than normal."

"20 times is a lot," commented Issei, his face contorted in concentration as he continued to exercise.

"From the perspective of a normal Devil, it wouldn't be, but in your case, it will help," replied Azazel, watching Issei with his piercing gaze. "Did you hear about the party?"

Issei paused for a moment, surprised by the sudden change of subject. He got up from the floor, taking advantage of the break to catch his breath.

"What party?"

"Our common enemy is throwing a party," replied Azazel, teasingly, his piercing gaze fixed on Issei. "Isn't it funny that while he's probably having fun with Rias among other women, you're here pushing yourself."

Issei frowned, concern painting his face. "Rias! She needs me," he murmured, fearing that Riser might do something to harm his King.

"And what are you going to do weak like this?" questioned Azazel, his authoritarian tone echoing through the training room.

Issei furrowed his brow, concern evident in his eyes as he tried to come up with a satisfactory answer.

"Rias is Sirzechs's sister, no one will touch her," continued Azazel, his voice firm. "But if you want to help, you need to get strong. So keep training."

Issei nodded, his determination renewed by his master's words.

"You're right," agreed Issei, his voice determined. "The only thing I can do is keep training."

He returned to doing push-ups, his muscles burning with effort as he pushed himself to surpass his limits.

"Very well, kid," praised Azazel, admiring Issei. "I'll step out for a moment, then I'll come back to supervise your training."

Azazel stepped away, leaving Issei alone in the training room.

As Azazel walked to his office, a golden aura enveloped his body and teleported him to another unknown location.

Party location of Riser a few minutes earlier

Inside the bathroom, Riser locked the door and took a card out of his inventory.

"Let's see if this duel card really works," muttered Riser to himself as he examined the card in his hands. "I, Riser, challenge Azazel to a duel to the death."

A golden aura surrounded Riser and teleported him to an unknown location.

When Riser materialized again, he found himself surrounded by a celestial landscape. Stars shone on the floor, on the walls, and even in the sky above him.

In front of him, Riser spotted Azazel, his imposing figure standing out against the starlight.

"Azazel! It's a beautiful place, isn't it?" greeted Riser, his voice dripping with sarcasm as his eyes gleamed with malice.

Azazel frowned, his expression serious as he watched Riser with suspicion.

"Riser! What place is this?" questioned Azazel, his voice cautious. "You brought me here."

Riser laughed, his voice echoing through the stars as he approached Azazel.

"This place is your grave, Azazel," replied Riser, his voice smooth and sinister as he looked at Azazel with malicious gleam in his eyes. "And yes, I brought you here."

Azazel instinctively recoiled, his expression becoming even more serious as he assessed the situation.

"What do you want, Riser?" asked Azazel, his voice firm as he prepared for any eventuality.

Riser grinned, his confident expression as he watched Azazel with disdain.

"For a smart man, you're slow to understand things, Azazel," mocked Riser, his tone sarcastic. "I want to end you and everything you represent."

Azazel furrowed his brow, his expression serious as he processed Riser's words.

"I'm not afraid of you, Riser," retorted Azazel, his tone firm and assertive. "If you think you can defeat me, then prove it with your actions."

With a smile, Riser disappeared before Azazel's eyes, moving at the speed of light. In an instant, he reappeared behind Azazel, his fist engulfed in flames as he prepared to strike a fatal blow.

"With pleasure," murmured Riser, his voice cold as he launched his attack.

Riser's flaming fist struck Azazel's face with force, sending him flying through the celestial space until he collided with the distant wall. The impact was powerful, leaving Azazel dazed as he struggled to get up.

Riser watched with satisfaction the result of his blow, his sadistic smile reflecting the satisfaction of seeing his enemy defeated.

"You are weak, Azazel," taunted Riser, his voice filled with contempt. "No match for me."

Azazel struggled to his feet, his determination evident despite his injuries.

"You may have caught me off guard, Riser," admitted Azazel, his voice firm. "But I am not yet defeated."

Riser murmured.

"Divide"

"Divide"

"Divide"

Azazel was recovering from Riser's powerful blow when he noticed something strange happening. His body seemed to weaken rapidly, as if his power were being drained somehow. He found himself forced to lean against the wall to avoid falling.

"What's happening to me?" thought Azazel, his mind confused as he tried to understand the sudden weakness that overcame him.

Meanwhile, Riser watched with a satisfied smile, noticing the effect of his attacks on Azazel's power.

Riser reached out towards Azazel, a white aura beginning to form around his palm. His eyes gleamed with determination as he focused on channeling his power.

"What happened? Don't you recognize the power of divine division anymore?" questioned Riser, his voice laden with scorn as he launched his attack towards Azazel.

Azazel, stunned by Riser's previous blow, struggled to stay on his feet as he tried to understand what was happening.

"You stole Vali's power!" exclaimed Azazel, his voice incredulous as he watched Riser with suspicion.

Riser smirked maliciously, his sadistic smile reflecting the satisfaction of seeing his plan unfold as planned.

"You finally reached the obvious conclusion," taunted Riser, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he watched Azazel with superiority. "I obtained Vali's power and now I am unstoppable."

Azazel clenched his fists, his expression serious as he prepared to face Riser once again.

Riser unleashed his power towards Azazel, a burst of white energy heading directly towards the fallen angel. Azazel tried to dodge, but the attack hit him head-on, sending him flying backward with force.
