Chapter 80 - Chapter [80]

Riser was sitting in the living room of his mansion in the underworld, with a pensive expression on his face, his eyes fixed on a distant point on the wall. His gaze seemed to pierce the horizon, lost in dark thoughts.

As he got lost in his own mind, Sona entered the room with a tired expression. She had just finished a training session with her Peerage and was ready to relax, but the tension in the air made her realize that something was bothering Riser.

"Is something on your mind, dear?" asked Sona, her voice soft and concerned. She approached him, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Riser blinked, brought back to reality by his wife's comforting presence.

"No, Sona, I'm just thinking about recent events," he replied, his voice calm and tranquil. "How was your training?"

Sona sat down beside Riser, snuggling comfortably.

"The training went well!" she replied, with a smile. "Merlin was of great help. His magical abilities are impressive."

Riser was pleased to hear that, knowing that Sona was making progress on her journey to become stronger.

"Shouldn't you be training too for the fight against Tannin?" asked Sona, her concern evident in her voice.

Riser pondered for a moment, reflecting on his wife's suggestion.

"No!" he replied, shaking his head. "Tannin is strong, but nothing I should worry about. I have confidence in my own powers."

Sona nodded, accepting Riser's answer.

"If you say so, I'll trust you!" she said, giving Riser a kiss on the cheek. "If you need me for anything, just call me."

With a nod, Sona got up.

"I'll take a shower and then we'll talk more," she announced, giving Riser a reassuring smile before leaving the living room.

Once Sona was gone, Riser was alone again, lost in his own thoughts.

"It's still a long time until the Rating Game," he murmured to himself. "Until then, I need to be prepared for any unforeseen circumstances."

"System!"

"Yes, host," echoed the System's voice in Riser's mind.

"Is there any change in the plot?" Riser asked the System, his voice filled with curiosity as he continued to reflect on recent events.

The System processed the question for a moment before responding. "Yes, host. There has been a significant change in the plot."

Riser tilted his head, waiting for more details.

"What kind of change?"

"It's valuable information," interjected the System. "It will cost 800 luck points."

Riser considered for a moment, weighing the value of the information in his mind. "Very well, I accept," he decided, preparing to make the payment.

"Are you sure you want to spend 800 luck points?" the System questioned, offering one last chance for reconsideration.

"Yes," confirmed Riser, determined.

The System promptly replied, "-800 luck points."

A holographic screen appeared before him, capturing his attention. He began to read the information that appeared before his eyes, his interest growing as he absorbed the details.

[Due to the constant decrease in the protagonist's luck, the will of the world has intervened to have Issei regain his luck and increase his power:]

Plot: Issei will spend 10 days training with Azazel, where he will exchange his human heart for a dragon's heart, unlocking all forms of the Boosted Gear. While all this happens, Rias' father, Zeoticus Gremory, will offer Rias' hand to the Astaroth family.

Obviously, Rias will not accept, but due to recent events between the Gremory and Phenex families, Zeoticus will threaten to transfer all of Rias' Peerage to others.

Afraid of losing her Peerage, Rias accepts. Eventually, before the wedding, it would be revealed that Diodora was part of the Old Satan faction.

Issei will fight Diodora and, with his new strength, defeat Diodora, saving Rias from the marriage and increasing his prestige in the underworld.

Riser watched attentively the holographic screen before him, absorbing every detail of the new plot. His heart filled with gratitude for having access to such valuable information.

"Thank you," murmured Riser to the empty room, his voice filled with appreciation. He thanked the divine beings who had delivered to him a petty yet extremely useful system to facilitate his life.

Astaroth Family Territory

Zeoticus and Dimitri were seated in comfortable armchairs in Lord Astaroth's office.

"What do I owe the pleasure of your visit, Zeoticus?" asked Dimitri, raising an eyebrow in curiosity.

"A proposal," replied Zeoticus, his voice calm and authoritative. He approached Dimitri with a serious expression on his face.

Dimitri frowned, intrigued by Zeoticus's sudden seriousness. "What proposal?" he inquired, his curiosity growing.

"Marriage," announced Zeoticus, his voice echoing through the room. "Between my daughter and your son."

Dimitri couldn't help but let out a light laugh at the unexpected proposal. "Marriage?" he repeated, still recovering from the initial shock. "You want to unite our families in this way?"

Zeoticus nodded, maintaining his serious expression. "I believe it would be a beneficial union for both parties," he explained. "Our families have shared interests, and an alliance would strengthen our positions in the underworld."

"Your daughter's last groom faced several issues," observed Dimitri, his voice laden with concern. "Why should I risk my family's reputation in such an uncertain union?"

"I understand your concerns, Dimitri," replied Zeoticus, with a calm tone in his voice. "But this time things will be different. My daughter will be committed to ensuring the success of this alliance."

Dimitri pondered Zeoticus's words for a moment, his eyes carefully examining the other man's face for signs of falsehood.

"I see," agreed Dimitri, his voice reflecting a slight acceptance. "If you are truly committed to this alliance, then I am willing to consider your proposal."

A satisfied smile crossed Zeoticus's face upon hearing Dimitri's response.

"I'm glad to hear that, Dimitri," replied Zeoticus, his voice sounding lighter now. "I'm sure together we can achieve great things in the underworld."

Dimitri nodded, offering a nod of agreement.

"Well, how about we celebrate the union between our families with a good wine?" suggested Dimitri, getting up from his armchair and heading towards an elegant wine cabinet in the corner of the room.

"Of course, I accept," replied Zeoticus, accompanying him with a courteous smile.
