Chapter 71 - Chapter [71]

The night hung over the school grounds, casting shadows over the wreckage of the occult research club. Craters dotted the ground, silent witnesses to the violence that had occurred there. Azazel, with a grave expression, surveyed the surroundings as he tried to keep calm amidst the chaotic situation.

His gaze passed over the determined faces of Sirzechs, Michael, and Serefall, each displaying a distinct demeanor. Sirzechs, calm yet determined, exuded leadership, while Michael spoke with kindness and a friendly smile, always seeking to keep the mood light. Serefall, with his usual playful way of speaking, added a touch of relaxation to the tense group.

Azazel sighed, feeling the pressure of the moment. "Do you still want to sign the peace agreement?" he asked, looking at each of those present for confirmation.

Sirzechs nodded solemnly. "Yes, it's important that we move forward with this," he replied, his voice firm and determined.

Michael agreed with a nod of his head, his gentle smile unwavering. "Yes, I believe it's the best way for us to achieve peace," he affirmed, conveying confidence.

Serefall, with a playful twinkle in his eyes, responded casually. "Of course! I don't want to miss the opportunity to celebrate with a party afterwards," he said, making a playful grimace.

Azazel nodded, satisfied with the responses. "Then let's sign," he declared, determined to proceed with the peace plan.

However, before they could proceed, Serefall brought up the issue of the Khaos Brigade, reminding everyone of the delicate situation they faced.

"And what about the Khaos Brigade?" Serefall questioned, his light tone contrasting with the seriousness of the matter.

Azazel pondered for a moment, aware of the importance of addressing this issue. "We'll gather and I'll tell you everything you need to know," he replied, determined to provide the necessary information to deal with the brigade's threat.

Sirzechs agreed. "Yes, we need to discuss strategies for dealing with this organization," he stated, concerned about the ramifications the presence of the Khaos Brigade could have.

Rias, worried about Gasper's whereabouts, tried to interject, but Azazel kindly reminded her of the priorities.

"I don't know anything about the boy's kidnapping, but I'll gather information," Azazel promised, his expression showing empathy for Rias's concern.

Sirzechs, recognizing the urgency of the moment, addressed Rias with understanding. "I'm sorry, Rias, but we have more pressing issues to discuss now," he explained, trying to calm his sister.

Rias frowned but nodded, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.

At that moment, Grayfia appeared, bringing an aura of authority and efficiency. Her serious gaze swept over the group.

Sirzechs addressed her seriously. "Grayfia, take Rias and her Peerage away from here," he ordered, his firm voice indicating the urgency of the situation.

Grayfia nodded with a nod of her head, her expression serious. She approached Rias and, with firm gestures, led her away from the wreckage site.

Meanwhile, Akeno, sensing Rias's worried expression, approached her with a gentle touch on the shoulder, offering silent support.

Issei tried to say some words of comfort, but Rias interrupted him with a nod, indicating that she preferred to remain silent.

Issei clenched his fists, feeling powerless in the face of the situation. He knew Rias was suffering, but he couldn't find the right words to comfort her.

Azazel, feeling that there was nothing more to be discussed at that moment, decided to leave. He excused himself from those present and walked to the crater, where Vali's body lay.

Serefall, realizing that the meeting had come to an end, announced her intentions. "I'm going to Sona-chan's house," she informed, her light tone contrasting with the seriousness of the moment.

Sirzechs bid farewell to Michael and prepared to leave.

"Until later, Sirzechs," Michael said as he approached Azazel.

Azazel, lost in his thoughts as he observed Vali's body, was surprised by the arrival of Michael and Irina.

Michael addressed Azazel sympathetically. "I'm sorry," he said, his voice filled with empathy for the loss of his friend.

Azazel looked at Michael, gratitude shining in his weary eyes. "Thank you, brother," he replied, his voice reflecting the pain of the loss.

Michael, always with a gentle smile on his lips, approached Azazel and placed his hand on his shoulder, conveying comfort through the simple gesture.

"Don't let yourself be consumed by the desire for revenge," Michael advised, his soft voice filled with genuine concern.

Azazel remained silent for a moment, absorbing Michael's words, and then nodded.

"I know what I have to do, Michael," Azazel said, his voice filled with determination.

"Just don't do anything you might regret later," he warned, his gentle voice conveying a mixture of care and caution.

Azazel nodded, acknowledging the wisdom behind Michael's words. "You know me, I'm smart enough to make decisions that won't put my life or the peace agreement at risk."

Michael smiled gently, his gesture conveying silent support for his brother. "I trust you, now if you'll excuse me, I have matters to attend to in heaven."

As Michael walked away, accompanied by Irina, Azazel turned his gaze to Vali's body, which lay motionless on the ground. A mixture of emotions churned in his mind as he processed the loss.

"I can't kill Riser... so I need someone to do it for me," Azazel thought, his expression dark reflecting the determination in his mind.

Determined to honor Vali's memory and ensure that his death was not in vain, Azazel focused his magic and caused Vali's body to float gently in the air, moving it away from the wreckage and craters that marked the ground.

As he performed the spell, a name came to his mind. "Hyoudou Issei," the Sekiryuutei of this generation. Azazel pondered the possibility of enlisting the young dragon's power to confront Riser and ensure justice for Vali.

With Vali's body now hovering by his side, Azazel took a deep breath and directed a determined gaze to the nighttime horizon, where the moon cast its pale light over the dark landscape.

"Turning that boy into a strong warrior is a difficult task," Azazel thought, his expression serious reflecting the seriousness of his decision. He knew Issei had latent potential, but it would need to be cultivated and developed for him to become a force capable of facing Riser.
