Chapter 19 - Punishment

Occult Research Club

Intrigued, Riser questioned, "So why did you offer your virginity to a servant?"

Before any words could escape Rias' mouth, Issei, irritated, intervened, "That's none of your business, Riser. Stay out of it."

Upon hearing Issei's words, Riser directed his gaze toward the young man. With a challenging smile, he commented to Rias, "Rias, it seems like you're not handling your servants well. They really need proper education."

Rias, maintaining her calm, replied, "Issei, be quiet. This conversation is between me and Riser."

Before Issei could continue with his words, a warm aura enveloped the entire Occult Research Club, interrupting the discussion.

Everyone in the club was frozen, but Issei suffered the most, undoubtedly lying on the floor. In Issei's mind, he thought, "What's happening? What pressure is this? Ddraig, what's going on?"

Ddraig replied mentally, "Partner, it's Riser. That's the pressure of his magic."

Rias trembled; she knew Riser was strong, but she didn't expect him to give the same feeling as Grayfia during training. The rest of Rias' Peerage was defenseless, and the people in a better situation were undoubtedly Sona and Tsubaki, who were beside Riser.

Riser rose from the sofa, releasing his Haoshoku Haki. As he walked toward Issei, he began to speak.

Riser, with his dominant presence, spoke with an authoritative tone, "Issei Hyoudou, you must learn to respect your place. I won't tolerate insolence in my presence."

When Riser approached Issei, the latter tried to lift his head, looking at Riser with determination. Riser, noticing Issei's defiant gaze, smiled sadistically and suddenly stepped on the young man's head. With a tone of superiority, Riser rebuked, "Don't look at me like that, servant."

The system alerted:

-200 protagonist luck points for being publicly humiliated.

Riser continued kicking Issei's head, while the system kept recording penalties.

Rias, using all her strength, shouted, "Riser, please, leave Issei alone. He won't interfere anymore." Sona tried to calm the situation, telling Rias that she was responsible for her Peerage.

Rias' Peerage members, although looking at the scene with anger, dared not to intervene, either out of fear or inability. Tsubaki, even in a relatively safe position, remained silent, aware of the relationship between Riser and Sona.

Riser, with no intention of killing Issei at that moment, took advantage of the opportunity to decrease the protagonist's luck, continuing the kicks.

In this tense moment, a magic circle with the Gremory mark materialized on the floor, and Grayfia emerged from it, interrupting the scene.

Grayfia, with a serious expression, said, "Riser-sama, please, for the sake of the alliance between the Gremory and Phenex houses, cease this display of strength immediately.

Riser halted the kicks to Issei, addressing Grayfia with a dominating aura.

Riser: "Grayfia, do you really care about this alliance? Or only when it's convenient? I have reasons to eliminate this servant."

Grayfia, under pressure, calmly replied. Grayfia: "I apologize if my actions have offended you, Riser-sama, but we need to forget the past."

Riser expressed his frustration. Riser: "I was trying to do that when I came here, but this servant doesn't respect me, and that's your and Rias' fault for not doing anything to show how a pure-blooded devil should be treated."

Rias intervened, promising to punish Issei. Rias: "Issei will be punished, and I will teach him how noble devils should be treated."

Sona interfered, asking Riser to leave the place. Sona: "Please, husband, let's go. It's enough."

Riser, hearing Sona, withdrew his aura, normalizing the atmosphere. In fact, he acted this way not because Sona asked, but his true motive was to avoid Sirzechs' intervention in favor of Issei.

Riser: "Let's go, Sona."

Sona agreed, and she, Riser, and Tsubaki teleported out of the room, leaving only Grayfia and Rias with her Peerage.

In Riser's absence, the tension in the Occult Research Club gradually diminished. Grayfia, maintaining composure, addressed Rias:

Grayfia to Rias: "You must be a good King, Rias, and punish your servant. I was present today, but if this happens again, he may not be so lucky."

Kiba rushed to help Issei up, while Akeno also tried to assist. However, Issei stood up on his own, more humiliated than hurt.

Akeno asked Issei, "Are you okay, Issei?" Issei, angry at Riser and himself, calmly replied, "Yes, Akeno-san. Thank you, and thank you, Kiba."

Rias replied to Grayfia, "I will do what needs to be done, Grayfia." Grayfia said, "I trust you with that. Now, I will report the incident to Sirzechs-sama."

Rias asked Grayfia not to involve her brother in this, and Grayfia asked why he shouldn't know.

Rias explained, "I've been scolded enough. I don't want it to happen again. Give me this chance."

Grayfia sighed and agreed, "Only this chance, Rias. Whatever happens, I will report to Sirzechs-sama and your parents."

Rias thanked, "Thank you, thank you for trusting me, Grayfia."

Rias turned to Issei and said, "Issei, you saw what caused this. Don't interfere again in a conversation between me and Riser or any other pure-blooded devil. Are we understood?"

Issei, angry at Riser and himself, replied, "Yes, Buchou-san."

Ddraig, sensing Issei's feelings, said mentally, "Partner, I have a way to increase your strength."

Issei, initially discouraged, found motivation at the prospect of becoming stronger.

Note:

From now on, get ready for a more original narrative as I'll create more content from my own imagination than following the anime or light novel plot. A piece of advice: if you don't appreciate protagonists with villainous characteristics, avoid reading fanfics marked with the "villain" tag.
