Gremory Family Mansion
Issei felt as if he were floating in a dark abyss, with no sense of time or space. His mind was blank, as if lost in a deep and endless sleep. However, something began to change. A strange sensation started to seep into his consciousness, a feeling of warmth and light pulling him out of the darkness.
Gradually, Issei began to emerge from the abyss, his heavy eyelids slowly lifting as he struggled to regain consciousness. The world around him was still blurry and distorted, but he could feel a familiar presence by his side, a presence that welcomed him and called him back to life.
Finally, his eyes opened fully, and Issei found himself lying on a soft bed in an unfamiliar room. He blinked a few times, trying to orient himself as his mind was still foggy from the coma. Then, he realized he was in the Gremory mansion, in a guest room.
"Where am I?" murmured Issei, his voice hoarse and weak after so much time in silence.
As he tried to sit up, a sudden wave of magic filled the air, enveloping the room in a vibrant and powerful aura. Issei felt a shiver run down his spine as the magical energy surrounded him, as if awakening something within him that had been dormant for too long.
In her own room, Rias was absorbed in the Rating Game broadcast, watching with interest as Riser became champion. She was about to send a congratulatory message to the young Phenex when a sudden sensation of powerful magic engulfed her, causing her to abruptly rise from her chair.
"What's happening?" murmured Rias to herself, her heart racing with the intensity of the magic she was feeling. Without hesitation, she left her room and hurried through the mansion corridors, following the trail of powerful magic that guided her to the guest room where Issei was.
Upon entering the room, Rias saw Issei lying on the bed, his eyes open and dazed as he struggled to sit up. Her own eyes widened in surprise as she realized he had finally woken up from the coma.
"Issei!" exclaimed Rias, rushing to his side and placing a hand on his shoulder with tenderness. "Are you okay? How are you feeling?"
Issei blinked a few times, trying to focus as reality began to solidify around him. He looked at Rias with a weak smile, his expression overflowing with relief and gratitude.
"Rias... I'm okay, I think," he replied, his voice still weak but filled with emotion. "What happened? How long was I out?"
Rias took a deep breath, feeling a weight lifted off her shoulders now that Issei was awake. She quickly explained about Issei's coma and how he had been placed in a guest room at the Gremory mansion to recover.
"But most importantly, you're back now," said Rias with a reassuring smile. "And it seems you brought with you a surge of powerful magic. What happened while you were asleep?"
Issei furrowed his brow, trying to remember the moments before waking up from the coma. His mind was hazy and confused, but he had a vague recollection of something happening, something related to a dragon's heart.
"I... I'm not sure," admitted Issei, his expression turning thoughtful as he tried to piece together the puzzle. "But it feels like something has changed inside me. I feel stronger, more alive than ever."
Rias nodded, understanding the gravity of what Issei was implying. Her heart began to beat faster with excitement, imagining what this meant for her future.
"Welcome back, partner. You did an excellent job surviving and finally waking up." Ddraig's deep voice resonated through the room.
"Ddraig... Thank you. How much stronger am I now?" Issei asked, eager to understand what had changed during his coma.
"You have certainly grown stronger, partner, but there is still a long way to go. Unleashing your potential requires more than just physical strength."
Determination flashed in Issei's eyes. "I'm ready for the challenge, Ddraig. I will become the harem king and protect those who are important to me."
Rias watched the exchange between Issei and Ddraig with a mixture of amusement and concern, finding Issei's determined attitude both admirable and somewhat amusing. She approached Issei, placing a hand on his shoulder affectionately.
"Issei, I'm glad you finally woke up," she said, her smile radiating relief and joy. "I'll let my brother know you're okay. If you need anything, just let me know."
Issei nodded, thanking Rias as she left the room. Once he was alone again.
"Ddraig, now that we're alone, I need to ask some questions," said Issei, his voice firm and determined.
"If I have the answers, I'll gladly provide them."
"Who's stronger now, me or Riser?" Issei asked, curious to know how he stacked up against his rival.
"Riser is certainly a formidable opponent, but you're also growing stronger every day, partner. In time, you could become an existence on par with Sirzechs."
Issei clenched his fists in anger and frustration. Even after so many challenges, he still couldn't defeat Riser, even after exchanging hearts.
"I will get stronger," Issei vowed to himself. "I won't allow him to hurt anyone else I love, like he did with Akeno."
Issei's determination burned within him, fueling his ambition to become the harem king and protect those who were important to him. He knew the road ahead would be difficult, but he was determined to face whatever challenges came his way.
Meanwhile, Ddraig watched with a mixture of satisfaction and concern. He was glad to see Issei growing stronger, but at the same time, he was disappointed with his petty motivations. As a dragon, Issei's ambition should be greater than just conquering a harem. He remembered the man who defeated Albion's host, and knew that Issei still had a long way to go to reach that level of greatness.
"What's the next step, Ddraig?" asked Issei, determined to continue his journey of growth.
"You need to train and catch up on the events of the days you were in a coma," replied Ddraig, emphasizing the importance of Issei staying updated and continuing to hone his skills.
Issei nodded, taking Ddraig's words seriously. He knew that training was essential to achieving his goals and that expanding his knowledge about the world around him was crucial to staying ahead of his adversaries.
