Chapter 116 - Chapter [116]

Riser's Mansion in the Underworld

Amidst the dark and mysterious landscape of the underworld, Mirko and Nana shared thoughts and dreams, engaging in an intimate and relaxed conversation under the glow of the stars, illuminated by the moonlight dancing among the shadows of the trees.

Nana smiled warmly at Mirko, her eyes shining with genuine admiration. "You're amazing, Mirko. Your strength and fighting skills are impressive."

Mirko accepted the compliment with a broad smile, appreciating Nana's kindness. "Thank you, Nana. It means a lot coming from you."

Nana gestured towards a nearby bench, inviting Mirko to join her. "Let's sit for a while and talk."

Mirko nodded in agreement, following Nana to the bench and settling down beside her. She sighed, looking up at the starry sky. "It's so peaceful here. Sometimes I miss the excitement of battles."

Mirko rolled her eyes, expressing her impatience. "Me too, Nana. I'm tired of just standing around here. I need some action."

Nana nodded, understanding Mirko's craving for excitement. "I understand, Mirko. But remember the Rating Game. There you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills."

Mirko suddenly stood up, clenching her fists with determination. "You're right, Nana. I'll defeat them all by myself."

"Mirko, please calm down. I know you're eager for action, but we need to wait for the right moment." Nana said.

Mirko huffed, her fists still clenched with energy. "I know, Nana. But it's so hard to just stand here, doing nothing."

Mirko sat back down next to Nana, her back straight and her determined gaze contrasting with the relaxed posture of the woman beside her.

"Nana, you know I can fight them all, right? There's no one who can stop me," Mirko said, her confident voice echoing through the dark underworld landscape.

Nana looked at Mirko with a gentle smile, admiring the determination of the woman beside her. "I know, Mirko. You're incredibly strong and skilled. But remember, Tannin belongs to Riser-sama. We must respect his position and authority."

Mirko nodded, her serious expression softening into a smile. "Of course, Nana. I know that. I was just getting a little carried away, you know how I am."

Nana chuckled softly, appreciating Mirko's sincerity. "I know, Mirko. And it's okay. You have a brave and determined spirit, and I admire that in you."

Tsubaki stepped out of the mansion with a sigh of relief, feeling the weight of her worries slowly dissipating. She walked through the yard, her footsteps echoing softly in the quiet of the night.

As Tsubaki walked, she came across Mirko and Nana, sitting together on a nearby bench, enveloped by the tranquil aura of the starry night. She approached them with a warm smile, greeting them with a nod.

"Good evening, Mirko. Good evening, Nana," said Tsubaki, her voice soft and gentle breaking the silence of the night.

Mirko turned to Tsubaki, a broad smile lighting up her determined face. "Good evening, Tsubaki. What's wrong? You seem tense."

Tsubaki took a deep breath, trying to dispel the tension she felt. "Oh, it's nothing serious. It was just Yubelluna and Akeno who were arguing."

"Why were they arguing?" Nana asked, her curiosity piqued by the mention of the argument.

Tsubaki shrugged, her expression reflecting her confusion. "I'm not sure of the exact reason. I just know it has something to do with Riser."

Mirko stood up suddenly, her expression worried. "Did something happen to Riser-sama?"

Nana pondered for a moment, trying to decipher the situation. "I don't think anything happened to Riser-sama."

"How can you be so sure?" Mirko asked, her voice filled with anxiety.

Nana shrugged, confident in her intuition. "It's just an instinct I have."

Mirko considered Nana's words for a moment, deciding to trust in her wisdom. "Well, if you say so, then I believe you."

Mirko sat back down next to Nana.

Nana noticed Tsubaki's silence and decided to start a conversation.

"Tsubaki, how was the training today?" Nana asked, with a gentle smile.

Tsubaki sighed, remembering the challenges she faced during training with Yoruichi. "Despite the difficulty, I think it paid off. Yoruichi really knows how to challenge me."

Mirko, noticing the exchange of glances between Nana and Tsubaki, decided to join the conversation. "Speaking of training, Tsubaki, would you like to test strength with me?"

Tsubaki hesitated for a moment, remembering the last time she had fought Mirko. She took a step back, her heart beating faster at the memory of the intensity of the battle.

"I... I don't know, Mirko. I don't think I'm ready," Tsubaki replied, her voice trembling with fear.

"Tsubaki, don't you think you're being a little cowardly? A true warrior doesn't shy away from a challenge," said Mirko.

Tsubaki raised her chin, her determined gaze reflecting her resolve. "I'm not cowardly, Mirko. I'm just being realistic. I know my limits and I know when I need to prepare better."

"Mirko, please, you already know how Tsubaki feels about this," said Nana, her voice filled with concern. "Don't pressure her so much."

Mirko turned to Nana with a mischievous smile, her eyes gleaming with excitement for the impending battle. "Nana, trust me. I won't hurt Tsubaki. I just want to help her become stronger."

Nana sighed, knowing she couldn't dissuade Mirko from her determination. She then turned to Tsubaki, her gentle gaze conveying understanding and support.

"Tsubaki, I know you're worried, but remember that at some point, you may need to fight someone you don't wish to," explained Nana, her voice calm and reassuring. "It's important to be prepared to protect Sona's life or even your own life."

"I understand, Nana. When the time comes, I'll be ready," said Mirko, with a determined expression.

Mirko stood up from the bench with determination, her gaze fixed on Nana. "Nana, how about a training fight?"

Nana sighed tiredly, feeling Mirko's vibrant energy beside her. She realized that Mirko was eager to help Tsubaki overcome her fears and limitations. "Sure, Mirko. It will be a good exercise for both of us."

Nana also stood up from the bench, her elegant and confident posture contrasting with Mirko's more impulsive energy. She looked at Tsubaki with kindness. "Tsubaki, why don't you sit on the bench and watch us train? It might be helpful for you to observe and learn from our fight."

Tsubaki nodded, sitting on the bench and watching Mirko and Nana move away to start their training. She internally wondered about the relative strength of Nana and Mirko, curious to know who was stronger between the two.

As Mirko and Nana prepared to begin their fight, they exchanged determined glances, ready to test their skills and push themselves beyond their limits.
