Later that afternoon after the bakery closed, Jillian returned home with the ingredients to make dinner in her basket. The sky was already starting to turn orange, but it was still a few hours until Dion came home.
She actually wanted him to be home soon so they could enjoy some time together before going to bed. But she couldn't help it, it was all for the sake of both of their futures.
"It's exhausting, but it's even more exhausting because that woman came to the bakery," Jillian complained as she entered her house.
She went to take a shower and then changed her dress. For a moment, Jillian was silent as she looked at her dresses, of which there were only five that she had worn so far. She used to have many beautiful and luxurious dresses, but she had to leave them all behind because they wouldn't fit her in her current place.
