Chapter 236 - Marvel 9

Business was going great and I wasn't talking about the cash but the many different characters from all over existence. Sure there were a few rowdy guys like Joker or Muzan but they all decided not to cause more than a small bar fight after being beaten by my Sentinels.

It was almost impossible for normal people from the main entrance in Marvel to enter but those that did unknowingly started chatting and arm wrestling with the likes of Whitebeard and Gandalf. Seeing them sit at the same table as these legends without even knowing was absolutely hilarious.

Since everyone came from different places, every just paid with their own currency. Money didn't mean anything to us but we still wanted it as a matter of principle. Neither we nor most customers would want to get our things for free, this was just sketchy as hell.

I was serving another plate of meat for the two greatest gluttons in fiction, Goku and Luffy, when suddenly the door was thrown open with enough force to make some plates fall from the tables.

Jean had just revived a few hours ago and the first thing in her mind was to kill. Not just anyone but the person behind the Sentinels who killed her and many of her friends in front of her eyes. With her new power, it didn't take long for her to trace back where these things came from many years ago but she didn't expect it to be such a strange place.

She tried to destroy the building by disintegrating it but her Dark Phoenix power just washed over it like water, doing absolutely nothing. She did not think that her violent entrance would anger so many strange customers inside.

She could feel that none of them was weak and something even deeper inside her told her that they shouldn't even be here and needed to be killed. She ignored the part about them not belonging here but happily agreed with the killing part.

What she didn't know, however, was that many of these customers dreamed of fighting someone strong. There were at least three people who jumped up and turned to the bartender.

"Heyy, Ojisan, I wanna fight her, please open up the arena" a man with the weirdest hair she ever saw said.

"Not fair, I saw her first" a baldy protested

"Dream on, youngsters, I will have the first dance" a samurai-looking guy looked at her excitedly.

She didn't understand what was up with their weird reaction but it made her angry but before she could unleash her wrath and destroy more plates, two familiar giant machines appeared behind her and gave her a shock therapy.

"Alright everyone, I will open the arena. Anyone who wants to fight her, pay up"

The crowd just cheered as she was dragged to somewhere against her will with many people following her.

What followed was just humiliating. She was thrown into an arena and people would come up to fight her. Some were weak and died instantly, only to reappear alive outside the arena, while some just beat the ever-living crap out of her and looked disappointed while doing so.

She really didn't know what she did to deserve that, all she did was kick open a door and try to kill a few people, why was everyone so happy that she caused trouble?

I just watched in amusement. This was a treatment many strong people who caused trouble here got, the weaker ones would just be ignored. Like I said, things were going great, I even decided to invite the rest of my family.

Leo, Freyna, and Ianara were pretty delighted to do something as a family together again. Viliana also said she was coming soon and wanted to introduce me to someone, I already had a rough guess but nothing concrete.

I never thought I would see Leo be so happy to work in the kitchen. All in all, this was just a normal day.

Right as I was saying that, I felt a plane crash not too far from here. You got to be kidding me, I thought I was exempted from Murphy's law.

With a sigh, I made my way over there just in time to see Carol Danvers destroy the light-speed engine. Unlike how it would have happened if this universe had plot armor, the explosion was far greater and way deadlier.

Forget getting powers from the Tesseract, she would be lucky if there was even ash remaining of her. The strangely human-looking Kree also didn't survive the explosion and got pulverized.

Well, this was anticlimactic but at least she wouldn't be missed. What did she ever do in the MCU? She showed up a few years too late, gets her ass handed by Thanos, and leaves again.
