For a moment, pain was all Shino could think about, then there was nothing.
After the darkness of the void came light, a brightness coming from everywhere in this endless white space.
"How long do you plan on just standing there, mortal?" a voice that seemed to be loud and silent at the same time, shook the soul awake.
It took Shino a few more moments before recalling who he was and what had happened.
"Are… Are you God?"
"Mortal, I'm giving you a chance for a second life, insulting me does not do you any favor"
"You're not? Then were you the one that killed me? I just got a girlfriend, aren't there rules that prevent cosmic beings from just killing mortals before their time is up?"
"Don't be silly, this isn't a third-rate book where the author uses this as an excuse for why the protagonist gets his wishes"
"Then why are you doing this?"
"Simply because I'm bored. I want to know how it feels to be the ROB of your mortals' story. Anyway, enough chit-chat, let's start, there are others already waiting for their next life"
"Do I get wishes?"
"If you want to but let me explain the rules first"
"You can either choose to make three wishes that will be very limiting but at least you will be certain to have a stable start, or choose to spin the Wheel of Fate three times. Unlike the wishes, the Wheel can give you anything from wet sponges to godhood and everything is equally likely to be drawn, in addition, the Wheel will also give you other extra benefits."
After thinking for a moment about both options he came to a conclusion.
"So either I get a certain good start or gamble and might get nothing but am equally likely to get something good. I like these odds, I will take the Wheel"
The moment he said these words, a Wheel the size of… well, it couldn't be measured, it had nearly infinite things written on it yet it was still only a bit taller than him, or at least when he was still alive.
He could see many things on the Wheel, some good, some great, and some worthless. Shino decided to stop analyzing the prizes as he was already getting dizzy and was a bit afraid that he would regret getting something good because he saw something better.
"Whenever you're ready"
After taking a deep breath, or at least imitating it in his current soul form, he lightly spun the wheel, hoping it would stop just a few fields further but his ROB was not going to let this happen. Despite the light touch, the Wheel started spinning at speeds that felt like its rotation was sucking his very soul inside.
Finally, it stopped on the picture of a flask.
"Ah, Asterix's Flask. Not a bad first draw. As the name says, this is Asterix's Flask, since it's a reward from the Wheel, I made a few changes to it. Although the flask's content isn't infinite as it would be problematic if you accidentally spilled it, any liquid poured into the flask will turn into a magic potion that will temporarily increase your speed, strength, and durability by ten times"
That was not bad at all, is this the reward of gambling with my next life?
The next spin landed on a black suit.
"Ah, the stylish MIB suit, always in perfect condition, water resistant, fire resistant, self-repairing, super durable, can be summoned on your body with a thought, and most importantly, can grow and adapt to you."
That was a bit tasteless but at least I will always wear something stylish in my next life and still be protected.
The last spin was a bit different, the space the wheel stopped on was golden with the image of a lifelike red flame.
"Would you look at that, you actually got one of the best rewards. This is the Fire Force, not the one you are thinking about, but an experiment I did a while ago that is closer to the Speed Force or Odin Force.
I won't spoil what it does, all I'm gonna say is that you lucked out and will become a god as long as you don't die early. To top it all off, this reward is a package deal, meaning you will get a system as well, though it will only act as a guide and support for the Fire Force"
Wow, no clue what it does but if this Omnipotent being says it's a Jackpot, then it must be worth something.
"What now? Will I reincarnate or transmigrate and can I choose my world and appearance?"
"These are all your decision, like I said the Wheel gives you extra benefits"
Why do I suddenly feel like I dodged a bullet by not choosing the wishes?
"Does the system have a shop and world travel function?"
"It has both but you will find out that the shop does not have an overwhelming variety of items"
"That's enough. For the start, I would like to be reincarnated in Kenichi and make some changes to my previous appearance"
Since the system had a world travel function, it was better to start with a basic world where I could grow up without the danger of dying while also learning valuable skills.
After making some changes to his future body, which did not include making his dick bigger because neither Shino nor the author were self-conscious about it, Shino disappeared from the white space.
"This should be fun to watch" were the last things before he fell into a long, deep sleep.

A/N- I will continue Shino's story in another book after I'm done with this one. I gained a lot of good ideas during the time I wrote this book.
