''He's awake, call the queen'' ''How are you feeling, do you need anything?'' ''Is the bed comfortable or is the light too bright?'' ''Are you hungry? What do you want to eat? Or are you perhaps thirsty?''
The moment my soul recovered enough to stay conscious for a while and could perceive the surroundings, my waking was noticed by these fairies and I was bombarded by questions.
Them all talking at the same time was a bit too much for my still weak mind and I was starting to get dizzy.
''Enough, you are causing our guest more discomfort by talking so much. Leave us alone and make some food for him.'' Ah, my savior.
The chatter promptly stopped as the fairies left me alone with their queen. Since only my soul recovered so far, I could only see souls and similar things but I didn't need to look at her colorful and bright soul to know that she was beautiful and kind.
''How are you feeling?'' she asked
'Great, couldn't be better, I've had worse injuries, why?' I answered telepathically. This was a lie but for some reason, I didn't like the feeling of looking weak in front of her.
But she clearly didn't believe me but thankfully decided to not comment on it.
''I'm not even gonna ask what you did to end up in such a state and survive it on top of that. Your soul was on the verge of collapse, your organs torn to pieces, bones shattered, limbs barely even connected on a few remaining skin tissues, and don't even let me get started on all the curses on you when we found you''
I had no response for that in stock, so we just stayed quiet for a few minutes before I changed the subject.
'Where is this?'
''This is the Fairy Realm and for your info, you are the first non-fairy to ever step foot in it, be honored'' I could feel the pride in her voice as she talked about the Fairy Realm.
It didn't give me much info about where I was and what kind of reality this was but it was a start. The moment I was able to move a bit more I was going to look at my phone. It might be soul bound to me but I still needed to physically touch it to use it.
We talked a bit more and at some point deviated from the current situation and started chatting about other things until the fairies came with my food. Since I still couldn't move, Freyna fed me, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I liked this even more than our chat, though she clearly enjoyed feeding me as well, so I didn't struggle much.
Just what is this woman doing to me!? Forget understanding my whereabouts, the moment I can move my finger, I'm going to look up my condition. This just wasn't normal, I'm acting like a teenager in love.
A few days passed by and I was being visited by Freyna regularly. I finally recovered enough to move my fingers a bit and immediately used this chance to scan Freyna on her next visit.
She didn't seem to care that I was using some strange object on her. I'm not sure if she just trusted me for no reason, was naïve, or just didn't notice.
[Freyna Spiritwood
Result: Born as one of the three High beings of her reality a long time ago. She is the Queen of the Fairies and rules over the Fairy Realm. She is extremely powerful and is the soul mate of Leo Ur'gazoth.
Danger: High (but thanks to your soul bond you could die if anything happened to her)
Note from Dad: Wow, would you look at that? Definitely wasn't expecting something like that]
That's very little information and what is this Soul Mate thingy? I could die if something happened to her!?
[Soul Mate
Result: An incredibly rare phenomenon where two souls are meant to be together to the point where their bond (even when unknown to them) will alter reality to do so. Soul mates will find each other no matter the distance and will always have a similar level of power, no matter how unrealistic.
Many realities have a similar concept but none of them come close to the real thing. Soul Mates are so rare that even if you search hundreds of realities, you might not find a single being that has a true Soul Mate. If the Soul Mates are in different realities and don't have enough power to travel to each other, they will either miraculously grow in power until they find each other, get reincarnated by a higher being without reason or the being knowing why it was doing that, or die trying.
Soul Mates are so closely connected that the loss of their other half can lead their souls to break. There is no way to sever this connection and even Omnipotent beings wish for a way to create true Soul Mates. Eternity can be very lonely.
Note from Dad: I'm a bit jealous. I also wouldn't mind having a Soul Mate, sadly that's impossible due to my soul. Nothing is above the Nothingness, not even True Love.]
I don't know how to feel about that.
