We appeared in a mountain biome made out of blocks.
After looking for a bit, I found the perfect universe in the Minecraft reality. It had a few differences from the normal game but was mostly the same.
This universe had a lot more ores than the original one and had no limitations on what we could craft, as long as we knew how to and had the necessary resources. Although there were workbenches here, they didn't function as simple as they used to.
When we entered, we came into contact with a powerful law that forced anything to be cubes, including us. We could resist it if we wanted but we saw no harm in it so we decided to get pixilated.
It was a strange feeling to suddenly be made entirely of pixels but at least now we fit in with the surroundings. We agreed on sealing our powers except an inventory and respawning after death, which might happen a few times here as there were some crazy mobs here, like the fucking Witherstorm.
Since we agreed to play this like the game was intended, we started by making basic equipment and building a starter base. It was more fun to build something so basic than someone like me who could create universes would think.
During our travels, we came across a few villages and tried to do some trading but these villagers were so greedy and stubborn that they wanted sky-high prices and refused to bargain.
We studied the mysteries of the enchantment table and learned its power of enchantment for ourselves. Through this, we discovered that this universe had magic as well but required a magic staff and a lot of complicated alchemy to do.
After months of traveling, we finally came across our first golden apple. The golden apples here were a bit different compared to the game as they couldn't be crafted and had a stronger effect. They couldn't be crafted and only be found on normal trees with a nearly 0% chance.
Although their effect was a lot stronger than it was supposed to be, what convinced us to research planting a golden apple tree was its heavenly taste, I swear I had never eaten something so good. If anything, these golden apples reminded me of the Apples of Idunn.
During our research, we came across a group of shady guys who claimed to be the true rulers of the world. Turns out that we weren't the first to discover this world's magic and these mages formed a hidden society that tried its best to rule the world and plunder its resources to further their research.
They tried to invite us but when we refused, they declared war on us with the excuse that they couldn't allow people with magic to cause chaos in the world or spread the knowledge, destroyed our home, and chased us until we were able to lose them in the Nether.
After that, we laid low for a bit and made plans to counterattack them.
We knew that destroying their organization with our current power wasn't possible, so we decided to weaken them and let them destroy themselves.
With a true invisibility potion, that couldn't be detected by magic and enchantments, and a cleverly placed Nether portal right in their base, we managed to sneak into their treasured library.
All their power came from the knowledge in these books and once these books were lost or destroyed, the only knowledge was in their head and they certainly wouldn't be so charitable as to donate all the knowledge so that others could gain their power.
According to our calculations, it would take a few years before the entire society were to fall apart but at least they wouldn't find the time to bother us again.
It would be a waste to just destroy all this knowledge and research they had so graciously done for us, so we stored every useful book in Shulker Boxes and stored them in Ender Chests.
We even found a suspiciously high-security room that gave us a strange feeling, whatever was inside this room held value to even us Outer versal beings.
Obviously, we couldn't leave whatever that was behind and broke into that room as well while being careful to not raise any alarms.
Inside the room was a box with many cables attached to it that siphoned the seemingly infinite energy of whatever was in the box for their use.
Inside the box floated a freaking Infinity Ingot.
I have no idea where they got it from because I'm sure that they didn't craft it but I was sure that this was the very core of their organization and their most precious asset.
We naturally took the ingot with us but the sole knowledge that something as powerful as the Infinity Ingots existed gave us a new goal to achieve, a very hard one at that.
We were going to craft the Infinity Armor and all its tools.
