Chapter 123 - Saint Seiya 2

Avatar Pov

I woke up in someone's garden in Greece, naturally the owner wasn't too happy with me trespassing and called the cops on me, but I left before they arrived.

It would have been bothersome to explain why I was there and where my papers were, my main didn't even bother to make me new papers or even leave me this body's old ones.

During my escape, I noticed a few of the modifications that were made to this body. I had some additional senses on top of my usual five, meaning I also had heat vision, echolocation, smell emotions, etc.

Despite these modifications, I still had normal human-level senses, I just had to master more things for each sense than others. Typical me, always letting others do the work and reaping the benefits.

My body had been turned back to six or seven years old, qualifying me to receive training as a saint. I knew that Athena's Sanctuary was somewhere near Athen (who would have thought) with parts of it being open to the public and then the real Sanctuary being hidden in a mountain range that normal humans couldn't cross.

With this info, it wasn't hard to find the location but the limitations of this body restricted me significantly, causing me to take two weeks to arrive at the publicly open part.

Ordinary humans didn't know about gods, saints, and Cosmos and only considered the sanctuary a historical monument.

Now, how would I enter the Sanctuary and become a Saint?

Crossing the mountain range was out of the question with my current power, the best thing I could hope for was to pose as a homeless child near the Sanctuary, which technically wasn't wrong, and hope that I would be taken in as a disciple.

If this doesn't work I will either have to try the Sanctuaries of other gods or try to unlock my cosmos and master my senses on my own. These options were significantly harder since I didn't know the location of other Sanctuaries and had no idea how to unlock my cosmos or train my senses, not to mention I still needed armor.

After just three months of living on the streets of Athens, I was given the offer of joining the Sanctuary. It seems like I had underestimated the influence the Sanctuary had in the outside world, I thought the Graad Foundation was their biggest ally.

After being asked if I was sure if I wanted to join and being told that I would receive gruesome training to shape me into a warrior of Athena, I was given a mask and told to wear it since women in the Sanctuary were only allowed to show their face to their master and family.

After this, I was brought to the real Sanctuary. The Sanctuary was beautiful and I love how it looked so ancient and new at the same time. There were many things to see in the Sanctuary but the most noticeable were the 12 Golden Zodiac Temples on the biggest mountain.

Not even a day after my arrival, I was assigned a teacher and my training began. That person wasn't kidding when he said it was going to be gruesome. In just four hours, I got nine broken bones, many more cracked, torn ligaments, and who knows what else.

This made a Spartan Agoge look like a relaxing afternoon.

After the training, we were sent to the doctors who bandaged us up, did some acupuncture stuff, and gave us some pills before we were sent to the library to learn. The library was huge, not as huge as my own but still bigger than any Earthly library I had seen, and contained many topics including anatomy, medicine, psychology, and other science.

Their topics were even so advanced that some books contained advanced stuff like string theory, quantum mechanics, and genetic engineering. It's crazy how this knowledge is only used to raise warriors for some stuck-up gods who most of the time aren't even around and only reincarnate every few hundred years.

Not to mention that this knowledge was given to children who weren't even confirmed to become saints and would most likely never even reach the seventh sense. Although I have officially started training, I wouldn't be called a Saint unless I was recognized by a Cloth.

That system was a bit wacky because you could be at the eight sense and still be a lowly Bronce Cloth Saint or not even be a saint at all.

By the way, it seems like the Pope was still in charge and Saori/Athena has either not been reincarnated yet or is still looking for allies to help her go back to the Sanctuary.

I better not stand out too much otherwise the Pope will brainwash me and I don't think my main body modified me to have an untouchable mind, only that I couldn't reveal anything about my real origin.
