Chapter 117 - YGGDRASIL 2

[Please choose your starting Realm

Asgard (locked), Alfheim, Jotunheim (locked), Midgard, Muspelheim, Nidavellir, Niflheim (locked), Svartalfheimr (locked), Vanaheimr]

(A/N- It's crazy how the names of the 9 realms change depending on the source, I took the names from the Myth and Folklore wiki)

I choose Nidavellir, home of the dwarves

[Choice finalized

I spend the next six minutes thinking. I might have the devs under control but I made sure not to get any info I shouldn't have, I wanted to play this game without cheating, which included no pay2win.

After maxing out my Unemployed Class, which by the way gave one free stat point per level, I was planning to go down either the monk or knight route, I had enough magic IRL already.

[Remaining time 00:00:09]

Just go on with it already

Fuck you

[Have fun]

I appeared in a typical medieval town square with a fountain behind me and many NPCs passing by.

There was no such thing as a beginner package and I didn't even get a weapon because I was still Unemployed. My avatar's height was shrunken to around 1,60m, smaller than most humans, but it would grow a bit with each racial level up until I was a full 5m at level 100.

Honestly, a 1,60m golem looked ridiculous and if I didn't know better, I would think I was a sculpture.

No reason to continue standing here, let's go out of the city and start the grind.

The fields in front of the city were full of [Wild Chicken], I even got a quest from the Gatekeeper to kill 100 Chicken because they kept eating the planted crops.

The chickens were faster than I but I only needed two hits to kill them. After a whole minute of running after my prey, I finally received my first kill notification.

[You killed Level 1 [Wild Chicken], +10%]

They made the EXP gain in percent, that's good to know, it would be so annoying to see trillions of EXP every time you killed something in the later part of the game. Because I had two things to level at the same time (Race and Class), the EXP was divided, giving both only 5%.

Nineteen dead chickens later, I leveled up both my race and class, giving me 1 free point, 1 skill, and the other stats I get every race level up.

[Rock Body (passive)

Tier: 1

Level: 1/100

Effect per Level: +1 DEF, +0,1 HP regen while out of combat, +0,01 HP regen while in combat]

That's a pretty good first skill if I may say so. Skills could be leveled by using them, meaning I would have to regen a lot but since I was a melee fighter, that wasn't a problem.

My stats instantly doubled after the level up and because the Level was a total of the Race, Class, and Sub Class, I instantly went from Level 0 to 2. This mechanic made the usual higher-level superiority very unstable since Sub Classes didn't give many stats or combat skills.

With each level I was above the chickens, the EXP I got would decrease, making leveling up increasingly slower, especially when taking on a Sub Class. It's no wonder that Sub-classes are purely optional since having your EXP divided from 2 to 3 isn't something to scoff at.

It was pretty clear to me at this point that leveling up was going to take a long time in the future after I killed the 400th chicken and finally reached level 10 in both race and class.

A huge difference compared to when I started 4 hours ago. Now that I had maxed my Class, it was time to go to the class tower and change it.

When I made it back, I saw a few players looking around for quests and being excited about how real the game was. I previously said the game was 100% immersion but that wasn't entirely true.

It did allow 100% experience but because the humans learned to feel Mana for the first time, it wasn't entirely true. I was even further from 100% because entering the game came with everything a mortal would have, including only having 7 senses.

The normal 5, the 6th Instinct, and the 7th sense of mana weren't even a fraction of the senses I used and that was just a rough example, though I didn't mind it. I kind of enjoyed the feeling of being weak again and growing stronger step by step.

Since the Unemployed class was considered Tier 0, I wanted to change my class to Tier 1 Brawler. It suited my build perfectly and had some nice skills but I wasn't satisfied with a normal class, so I decided to wait.

Now, where can I find a hidden quest for a hidden brawler class?

A/N- Do you want a time skip after this chapter or do you want me to continue a bit longer before I make the skip?
