Chapter 10 - CHAPTER TEN

"No, I'm fine, Sir Richmond," Aurora said, gently withdrawing her hands from his firm grip. He nodded slowly, concern etched on his face. "Take these off," he ordered in a deliberate tone. Aurora approached him, and with a deliberate pace, she began to loosen the cloth that adorned her.

Richmond's eyes lingered on her, observing each movement with meticulous attention. He took in the delicate features of her face – the long lashes that framed her eyes, the pout of her lips, and the pointed nose that complemented her apple-shaped face. He found himself contemplating the origin of this angelic being standing before him.

As the robe gradually slipped from Aurora's form, Richmond stood there, now revealed in his light singlet, trousers, and shirt. Aurora collected the robe and, with a graceful bow, placed it in his closet. She then turned her attention to the food tray, carrying out her duties with a quiet efficiency.

"Goodnight, Sir Richmond," she whispered before exiting the room. Richmond let out a stylish breath, watching her departure. His gaze shifted downward to his legs, where he became acutely aware of the pulsating urgency beneath his shorts.

"Shit!" he cursed under his breath, a sudden realization hitting him. Hastily, he made his way to the bathroom, thinking the sensation had subsided. However, as he assessed the situation, he acknowledged that though diminished, the throbbing presence remained – a palpable reminder of the charged encounter.

The following day, Aurora's longing for her brother became too much to bear, prompting her to make a spontaneous visit to Stanford University where he was immersed in his studies.

STANFORD UNIVERSITY

Arriving in a taxi, she navigated the school gate, seeking directions that eventually led her to the Department of Medicine and Surgery.

As she drew near, the unmistakable figure of her brother caught sight of her, and in a burst of excitement, he hurriedly approached, enveloping her in a tight, heartfelt embrace. Their reunion was so profound that tears flowed freely, a testament to the depth of their sibling connection.

Amidst their tearful joy, Aurora inquired about her brother's life and how he was navigating the challenges of university. He eagerly shared the intricacies of his academic journey, creating a bond strengthened by the understanding only siblings could possess.

Amid their heartfelt conversation, Kourtney, a fellow student, happened upon the scene. However, a misunderstanding led her to believe that Rob, Aurora's brother, was in the company of another girl. Fueled by this misapprehension, she turned away in anger and left the scene, unaware of the familial connection between Aurora and Rob.

After their intimate sibling exchange, Aurora decided to return home.

Back in the classroom, Rob, oblivious to the external drama, was met with a perplexing gaze from Kourtney, filled with an unexplained animosity.

Curiosity gnawing at him, he approached her in an attempt to unravel the source of her discontent, only to be met with cold indifference as she chose to ignore his inquiry. The intricate tapestry of emotions and relationships unfolded within the academic setting of Stanford University, revealing the complexities of human connections amid misunderstandings and genuine family love.

As the school bell echoed through the corridors, signaling the end of classes, Rob found himself in search of Kourtney. It was time for his tutoring session with her, but she was nowhere to be seen. Determined to find her, he stepped outside and soon spotted Kourtney on her way home.

Without hesitation, Rob hurried towards her, calling out her name. However, Kourtney seemed to intentionally ignore him. Undeterred, Rob caught up with her, reaching out to hold her hand. A mix of confusion and concern marked his expression as he began to question Kourtney about her peculiar behavior.

"Kourtney, what is wrong with you?" Rob inquired, seeking an explanation. Kourtney's response took him by surprise as she curtly told him to go and be with the other girl, insisting that he was in the wrong. Rob, perplexed by her sudden mention of another girl, had a moment of realization—he remembered his sister.

A burst of laughter escaped Rob as he comprehended the misunderstanding. "Kourtney, that was my big sister," he revealed, leaving Kourtney in shock. Her exclamation of "What?!" echoed with a sense of embarrassment and realization that she had acted foolishly.

Feeling ashamed, Kourtney offered an apology to Rob, admitting her hasty and misguided reaction. She explained that she couldn't bear the thought of him with another girl. Rob, understanding her concern, reassured her, saying, "Don't worry, it's fine. I'll introduce you to my sister one day as my best friend."

With tensions diffused, the two of them walked hand in hand, making their way back to the classroom for their scheduled lessons. The laughter lingered, serving as a reminder of the humorous twist in their unfolding story.

RICHMOND COMPANY

the enterprising figurehead of the Herndon Automobile Company, commenced his day with an unwavering determination. As he stepped into his office, the ambient air carried an air of purpose. His devoted personal assistant, ever punctual, greeted him with a respectful "Sir, good morning."

"Good morning," Richmond acknowledged, cutting through the morning silence. Without delay, he instructed his PA to lay out his schedule, a meticulously planned agenda comprising nine appointments for the day.

As the PA diligently recited the day's commitments, Richmond, with a discerning gaze, made a swift decision. "Cancel all except the board meeting," he declared, revealing a shrewd focus on his priorities.

An hour elapsed, and Richmond found himself at the revenue department. A notable presence caught his attention – the Clifford family. However, Richmond, seemingly indifferent, strode past them, disregarding the familial ties that had been vocalized in a greeting.

Collins Clifford, undeterred by Richmond's apparent neglect, approached with an air of familiarity. "Richmond, you know you ought to greet us; after all, we're soon to be family," he asserted. Richmond, impervious to the attempt at cordiality, chose silence and took his seat.

The board meeting commenced, with Richmond and Collins taking turns presenting their visions. As Richmond eloquently articulated his plans, a palpable tension permeated the room. The Clifford family, clad in a veneer of envy, abruptly stood, adorned with smirks, and exited the meeting.

Returning to the sanctum of his office, Richmond sought repose. In a moment of respite, he observed a peculiar occurrence. One of his workers, without preamble, entered the room, locked the door, and initiated an unexpected striptease.

In the face of this surprising spectacle, Richmond's reaction remained a mystery, the narrative poised on the brink of an unforeseen twist.
