Chapter 5 - Arrive at Prince Wu's Mansion

Nuo Lan arrived at the Prince's Mansion in the middle of the night. She immediately picked up her horse and went to the prince's house without stopping. Duke Shizhi's people were well aware of her relationship with Shizhi, so no one dared to intervene. Until she reached the front of the room and saw that the lights were still on.

"Sue Zi, I am your grandchild."

"Come in."

She looked at Si Zi who was sitting on the bed reading a book. She was still distraught and didn't know whether to sit or stand. Finally, she walked over and stood beside his bed before speaking.

"Sizi, will you marry me or not?"

"Why do you ask? I have told you since you left."

"I heard that Si Zi is getting married tomorrow. Is that true?"

Prince Wu Zhi looked at Nuo Lan's face. He didn't answer her question. But he asked her about the mission.

"I have returned. Are you going to keep your promise or not?" Nuo Lan also didn't tell her about the mission.

The atmosphere in the room became more and more tense, and Si Zi who didn't get the answer she wanted became even more annoyed. He is the son of the Prince. He is one of the royal family. Why did he have to marry her? He deserves to marry someone of the right status. That's right. She should know better. But why did she still ask?

Nuo Lan still stood looking and waiting for an answer. Prince Zizhi extended his arm as if to pull her into a hug as usual. Nuo Lan reacted according to habit. She held out her hand to him. When both hands touch Shi Zi actually pulled her, but his other hand that was previously holding the book was replaced by a sword.

The sword pierced into her left breast. He stabbed his sword into her heart. Nuo Lan looked at him in shock. She hadn't thought of that before. He would do this to her.

Nuo Lan looked down at the sword that was now stained with her blood. She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. She couldn't see the regret in his eyes. She found only emptiness. Nuo Lan continued to stare at him with pained eyes. Until she ran out of breath.

Before her soul died Nuo Lan swore that if there was a next life, she would never trust any man again.
