Rucia sat, and Kerin turned his attention back to the Saintess before him.
"Continue what you were saying from before. I want to know all the details about what you know."
Kerin asked as he banged his hand on the table hard. It caused the table to wobble, but he did not care.
All he cared about was to know what the Saintess had discovered.
"Hey, calm down. Do you know how much this table costs? And I don't know anything else besides this, either. That was all I could get out of the goddess- that general Meria would be in danger because of his ex-fiancé."
"The goddess said it was for the 'development of the story' or something and that General had to die."
The Saintess looked haggard as well.
He had difficulty dealing with the goddess and her unique ways of causing trouble.
"So, you're not clear about anything yet? I no longer have a reason to be here. I will go and check up on Meria now."
The emperor was worried about the general.
From what he knew, the general had started taking supplements from a young age to stop his heat.
Despite being a monthly thing, this heat had to be the general's second or third ever.
It would be a painful endeavour even with an alpha's help.
"W-Wait! Are you going to visit the general while he is in pre-heat? You will cause a mess! What if you accidentally mark him? I cannot allow that to happen."
The Saintess blocked Kerin's way, and he looked coldly at the alpha before him.
'How dare this insignificant being stop me from going after my omega? I should crush his neck this instant-'
"Are you going to kill me? That would only serve to make the general situation worse in society. Don't target that he is my knight from today onwards."
Jealousy filled the emperor's mind, and his hand tightened around the neck before him.
'Just a little bit more force and I will be able to get rid of this obstacle in my way-'
"Emperor Kerin, you cannot kill the Saintess. General Meria will never forgive you."
Rucia's voice was like a bullet, causing him to let go of the Saintess.
The other alpha rubbed his neck to relieve his pain, and he coughed as the wind started to make its way back into his body.
"Y-You are troublesome. Nothing is going to stop you from going after the general, right? Then, take this pill. It will make you unable to respond to his pheromones, and a mark will not form no matter what you do to him."
The Saintess handed Kerin a small bottle of pills.
It was insulting for an alpha to receive something like this.
The emperor could feel these pills' strength and how much they would affect him.
Not only would he not be able to use his pheromones or get complicated, but he would also not be able to use his magic or mark the omega in front of him.
He would be more useless than a beta.
"How dare you give me such a useless thing? You want my omega for yourself, right? Is that why you are trying to stop me-"
The Saintess cut off the emperor.
"Of course not. As much as I like the general, I also respect him. I will not stand in your way if he chooses you. However, the general does not even know that you are alive and he is in heat."
"But most importantly, think of the consequences of biting the general. No one would believe that a 12-year-old alpha bit him and formed a mark on his neck. You will be unable to marry him, even if your curse broke. Forget about the world; the general would not believe you no matter how much evidence you bring to him."
Kerin was shocked and speechless by these words.
He wanted to deny them, but he knew these words were valid.
His omega was a stubborn fool and would never do anything to taint the emperor's reputation.
Even if Kerin relieved the secret of his identity to Meria, he was sure that the omega would reject him and ask him to seek a new mate.
After all, unlike omegas, who only mated once, alphas could mark multiple partners.
"Agh, darn it. Fine! I see the point. Give those stupid pills here. I will take them. Are you happy now?"
The alpha asked with an annoyed look on his face. He could not believe that he had agreed to such a condition.
He quickly took the pills and waited for them to take effect.
The Saintess had a satisfied look on his face, but he also had a mischievous look at the same time.
"Hmm, I don't think I am satisfied with how things are. Let's see…hmmm, maybe if you wear a gag; then I might feel satisfied…ahhh, he is gone before he heard everything."
The Saintess looked at the retreating back of the alpha emperor, walking out of the room in anger.
'Ah, I cannot separate the emperor from General Meria for now, but I can make him suffer. It is fun to watch, but I will not let him win.'
Rucia, who watched the changing expressions on the Saintess's face, could not help but feel scared of him.
The atmosphere around the Saintess also reminded her eerily of the emperor.
"You know, both you and the emperor are the same kind of scum. And from what I can see, you both like the general. How can you both be raised differently and still so similar?"
Amusement bled out of the Saintess's eyes, replaced by disgust.
"Don't say such nasty things, or it will want to make me do something to end you. I cannot believe that you said such a horrible thing. Me and like that obsessive emperor? No way!"
The Saintess denied it, but Rucia could see the truth in his eyes.
As much as the Saintess denied being possessive and obsessive, it was hidden behind a facade and waiting to be released.
Rucia just hoped that the eruption of these feelings would not cause too much of a mess.
