Everything started growing colder as the man in front of me smirked, his red eyes sending a sharp pain in my soul. I could open and scream at the horrors I witnessed as I realized my entire family had been slaughtered. I couldn't move my legs I was struck with fear and sadness as I soon passed out. I would wake up to a warm feeling as I realized a body was on top of me, but something was strange the body on top of me was the body of my sister Nezuko! She was drooling like a starving animal and her eyes were like that of a predator I realized she had become like that man I had seen before. I forced my tears back as I realized a sturdy stick was next to me and it seemed I got lucky because Nezuko soon pounced on me. I used the stick to stop her mouth as I forced myself up and pushed Nezuko. I held the stick in front of me but when Nezuko rushed at me I could not force myself to attack her, she was my sister after all. Nezuko would appear in front of me with swift movement as I knew it was over I just hoped Nezuko could somehow be fixed. I closed my eyes but I noticed that I didn't feel any pain, at first I thought I had died but after I opened my eyes I realized Nezuko was on the ground clenching the snow, she was holding herself back. I would slowly bend down and caress her hair she needed her older brother in times like these, and I would proceed to embrace her trying my best to calm her down.
"Nezuko, it's me your big brother it's okay now." I would say calmly caressing her hair. Nezuko would finally calm down and it seemed as if everything would be okay, I would get up putting Nezuko on my back as I started walking. I would try to make conversation with her but when I looked back she was gone, instantly fear covered my body as I frantically searched for Nezuko but little did I know she was in plain sight. I would look ahead and see a man in a red and green kimono holding Nezuko by her neck as she tried to kick him. He would look back at me his face was calm but his eyes were a dark icy abyss. He would let go of his grasp on Nezuko's neck before kicking her towards a tree. In a split second; he was in front of me he looked down at me quite literally the man stood tall at 6 feet! He would open his mouth struggling to get some words out as his scary demeanor quickly went away he must be bad at starting a conversation.
"I... Am here to protect you." he would say his face serious again. He would then look at Nezuko as he unsheathed his blade, this time he wasn't going to use his hands and feet to attack. As if it was muscle memory I grabbed onto his arm; the man looked back at me with a face full of confusion. He would shake me off as he rushed at my sister, and I would notice the axe I had which I had used for wood cutting before my family died. I would use all the strength I had left as I threw the axe at the man which he would react by swiftly moving to the side. He would glare back at me as he lowered his blade.
"The hell are you doing?" I could not lie to myself and say that I wasn't scared but being scared wasn't going to keep Nezuko alive right now. I would grit my teeth and clench my fist as I gave him a confident stare.
"Don't touch her she's my sister!" The man looked surprised and a bit conflicted I could tell that he was already trying to make a decision. He would sigh then sheath his blade as he walked to me and grabbed me by my hair. He would look me directly in the eyes as he now had a very serious look, "If you want to protect her then I can help you with that but you have to be willing to get stronger understand?" I would glance at Nezuko's unconscious body as a wave of determination would wash over me, I would look the man in the eyes with a confident, and determined look as I nodded at him. He would then let me go as he whistled in a certain pattern and a crow came.
"My crow will guide you to a wise old man once you reach said man tell him Tomioka sent you, and keep your sister out of the sun and away from civilians." I nod being glad I know his name now and that there is hope for me and Nezuko. Tomioka would disappear and as soon as he did I would rush to Nezuko embracing her as the crow cawed nagging at us to hurry up so we could reach the old man whose name is supposedly Urokodaki.
