Catherine hugged Ethan tightly like a koala; she didn't understand why so many terrifying mice suddenly appeared in her room.

But Ethan's attention was on the ring, and he could feel a faint connection between him and these mice.

With a tentative wave of his hand, Ethan was surprised to find that the group of mice gave way as he obeyed.

Ethan understood that this ring was a magic item and could control mice. As for why a Muggle like Catherine also handled mice, Ethan still couldn't figure it out.

But what is certain is that the actual ability of this ring to control the rat population has to be triggered by magic, and if a Muggle starts it, it can only hold one rat.

Catherine finally discovered that Ethan seemed to control the swarms and screamed again.

"Oh my God! Ethan! Just take your magic powers! Get these mice away!" Catherine pleaded.

It was only then that Ethan realized this blanket of rats looked a little creepy.

Ethan raised his ring-wearing hand and swept the group of mice. The mice obediently followed Ethan's instructions and returned to where they should have been.

Many mice jumped directly from the windows of Katherine's apartment, causing a series of screams from passersby downstairs.

When there was no mouse in the apartment, Catherine finally let out a sigh of relief and got off Ethan.

Catherine, who landed again, took a long breath, "This ring is amazing." Catherine searched for suitable adjectives in her mind for a long time, and finally, she only spit out this sentence.

After standing to calm down, Catherine again made trouble with the dirty apartment.

Because of the rats, the entire apartment is now dirty, and the once smooth and shiny floor is full of stinky water from the sewer and mucus from the rats.

"I'll fix this, Catherine; close your eyes and cover your ears," Ethan said to Catherine.

"Okay, okay--" Catherine muttered dissatisfiedly, "I will discover your hidden secrets sooner or later."

After speaking, she covered her ears, closed her eyes, and turned back.

Ethan took out his wand to "Whirlwind" and "Clean Up." Ethan cast several spells in a row.

Soon, Catherine's apartment was clean, even cleaner than it had been initially.

"Okay, Catherine." Ethan reminded Catherine, but Catherine still didn't put down her hand; she turned her back to Ethan and tightly covered her ears.

It seemed that Catherine covered her ears quite tightly.

Ethan had no choice but to pat Catherine on the shoulder, reminding Catherine that it was over.

Catherine put her hand down curiously and looked around at the clean, shiny apartment. Catherine cried out in surprise.

"It's amazing; how did you do it?" The nervous Catherine had forgotten the fear of being dominated by mice and looked around the apartment curiously.

The magic effect is powerful, and even the dust in the corner of the room that Catherine usually doesn't bother to clean is now cleaned up.

Catherine sniffed her sofa cushions and found they smelled fresh as if they had been washed.

"How on earth did you do it, Ethan?" Catherine turned around like watching a treasured animal, Ethan carefully observing the side.

She even tried to open Ethan's mouth and observe his teeth, and then Catherine's claws, which stretched out like Ethan's, were slapped off by Ethan.

"Who are you? Are you an elf? Do you know magic?" Catherine asked curiously, wondering where she got her intense thirst for knowledge.

"Take your ring." Ethan threw the ring to Catherine.

Catherine received the ring as if she received red-hot briquettes and threw it up and down in her hands, fearing that she might accidentally touch something and make those terrifying rat tides come back.

"Take it; you will never trigger the situation just now." Ethan squeezed the ring thrown high by Catherine and stuffed it into Catherine's hand.

Despite Ethan's reassurance, Catherine carefully grasped the ring, put it back in the box, and tucked it into her pocket.

Sitting on the sofa, Catherine took a big sip of the freshly brewed coffee and calmed down.

"Ethan, do you want this ring? Be my bodyguard for a few days, and I'll give it to you." Catherine suddenly lit up and said to Ethan.

Catherine had a tremendous psychological shadow on the ring that could only summon mice, so she never wanted to touch this terrifying ring again.

But Ethan can manipulate this ring very well. In Catherine's view, if he can deal with this hot potato and recruit Ethan as his bodyguard, it will be the best of both worlds.

Ethan did not directly reject Catherine's proposal. He was more interested in this ring; he squeezed his chin and began thinking about it.

Seeing that Ethan accepted herself directly, Catherine took out a check and slapped Ethan on the table before him with a proud slap.

"You can write the money on it, and this check can be exchanged at any U.S. bank." Catherine seemed to be glowing with gold.

"Then, I have to agree to your request." Ethan stuffed the box with the ring and the check into his arms.

Seeing Ethan agreeing to herself, Catherine giggled happily.

"Ethan, your boss orders you to massage her legs quickly." After that, Catherine put her slender thighs on Ethan's legs.

"I'm a bodyguard, not a servant." Ethan frowned, intending to remove Catherine's legs from his body.

But then, he saw Catherine looking at his big eyes.

Ethan grasped Catherine's smooth calf knowingly.

Massaging legs have proven to be tiring; sometimes.

Early the next day, Ethan was lying on the bed, tired, and the repeated battles overwhelmed Ethan's body and bones, even as a witcher.

Catherine's face was still flushed with satisfaction that did not fade; she stretched contentedly and threw her shirt on Ethan's face, staring at her, blocking his vision, and then went to her room.

Sniffing the aroma left on the shirt, Ethan felt a little depressed; he felt as if he had become a little white face kept by Catherine.

"How can you do this? You are a shame to the witchers!" Ethan criticized himself inwardly, then turned over and fell asleep.
