Upon the arrival of this figure, my heart started pounding hard against my chest trying to break free of such a constraint.
With grey hair ,brown eyes and dark skin , he exuded an air of what could only be described as freedom.
Free from worry , pain ,suffering ,death and reincarnation. This is the feeling one gets upon first meeting this individual.
As though he aims to be free of everything yet still wants to frolic in the mortal world, playing in it because he simply wants to.
Looking at his somewhat ordinary appearance and comparing it with such an aura throws people off their game yet fills everyone with excitement and will to achieve anything.
All this from simply walking yet when he suddenly stopped halfway to his arranged sit ,he started giving off another aura one of great desolation.
It made one feel as though he were the last man in the world having killed everything that could , would and had been called predator he gazed at what was left and all he could see was prey ready to be devoured . at this point , pride didn't matter , cultivation didn't matter wealth didn't matter and age certainly didn't amount to much for all looked down instinctively trying to avoid eye contact yet at the realization of what had happened , they felt a sense of shame .
Yes shame for having felt a hint of fear and inferiority these big shots felt a hint of shame .
Just then a voice rang out deep and sonorous like a monks recitation, " what is cultivation? "
As though questioned by the heavenly daos themselves , everyone snapped out of their daze only to enter the next.
It might seem like a simple question as it encapsulates many aspects of cultivation.
As people unwittingly entered a sense of deep introspection, a whisper could be heard through out the realms, not only the heavenly realms but all realms as though echoed by the heavenly daos " some may say an act of fighting the heavens for power or perhaps digging out human potential from each realm, all of this is true to some extent but my truth and understanding give me a different answer, that being said, I can only use an analogy. ' a fisherman uses a boat and row to cross a river , depending on the routes used , one may use the current to save energy or simply go against the current to which may seem a tad difficult and all these are determined by the goal of the fisherman and how sturdy the boat had become this is true for all as situations as even the slowest runner still has the chance to win the rest as even the greatest of heroes started from somewhere , be it beggars, orphans, thieves ,assassin's , even the money hungry mercenary yet what the similarities between them and that is the goal one wishes to achieve regardless of obstacles in his way like the pebble in the road .
With just a few words he silenced the citizens.
