Riser Phenex's POV.
My and Medea's house was lively when we arrived. The inviting aroma of food filled the air, and I could hear voices and laughter coming from the dining room.
"We're here!" I announced as I entered the room, with Illya right behind me.
"Oh, I'm glad you arrived!" exclaimed Medea with a smile, coming to greet me. She was wearing a pink apron over her dress, and her purple hair was tied up in a ponytail.
I greeted the other guests. Rin and Sakura were chatting animatedly near the fireplace. The always calm Sakura waved gently when she saw me, while Rin just grunted a "hi" before returning to chatter with her sister.
On the couch, Artoria seemed mesmerized by the smell of food. Her green eyes gleamed towards the kitchen, and she must have barely noticed my arrival, so focused she was on the feast.
Marisbury was already seated at the table, flipping through some notes. He looked up as I entered and waved, smiling. "Good evening, Riser! We're all eager to hear about your new abilities."
We sat down and began to eat, amidst friendly conversations and laughter. Medea's food was delicious as always, a true feast. Even the voracious Artoria seemed satisfied, though she kept eating non-stop.
After we finished the meal, I told everyone about my journey to the Grail with Illya, and how it granted me the gift of second magic. Marisbury's eyes sparkled with interest as I explained the possibilities of traveling between parallel universes.
"Incredible, simply incredible!" he exclaimed, rubbing his hands together. "The things you'll be able to see and bring back from other worlds... I can hardly imagine!"
"It will surely be a fascinating journey," commented Sakura with her gentle voice.
Even Rin seemed impressed, despite trying to disguise it. "Hmpf, big deal," she grumbled, crossing her arms. "Any decent mage can achieve that with some effort."
Ignoring her snark, I continued to talk about my plans. I wanted to visit some specific worlds first, in search of magical knowledge that could help us here. Everyone listened attentively, asking occasional questions.
In the end, we raised our glasses in a toast. "To the new future, and the endless possibilities!" proposed Marisbury, smiling.
"To the future!" we repeated in unison, amidst laughter and applause. The night stretched on amid lively conversations and an atmosphere of hope and camaraderie.
When the party finally came to an end, I felt renewed and ready for the journey ahead. With these people by my side, I knew great feats awaited us.
But before anything else, I needed to settle things with Marisbury, after all, as soon as I left here, he would be running our company.
"Marisbury, if you have a moment," I asked Marisbury, who was already wanting to leave to continue his way.
"Of course, Riser," he followed me outside. and quickly I speak what I wanted with him.
"I'm sure you've already received the Grail's information about the incredible wealth. so I wanted you to become the administrator of everything. so I can have a chance to stay hidden. and enter as a member of the medical field in Chaldea. I'll give you a phone so you can contact me. not only that, I want to know everything, about the Fate system. as I can go and create a Pseudo-Servant"
"that's fine with me." affirmed Marisbury. who left with a step forward. I turned, ["well, it's time to talk and see who will come with me. to my world. it's not like I can't come back here. I'm going to leave a clone doing things in this world."]
I return to the table where everyone was still sitting fraternizing. only one girl was quiet in the distance. I know it's not the best, but I decide to rip off the bandaid all at once.
"So. who will want to go to my world with me. there is a possibility that you will no longer return here. but with my true magic the chance of returning is very high. anyway, I wanted to make a few things clear."
"For example you Illya, you are no longer human. so you probably have to come with me. already in your case, if I'm right. Miyu is your sister. she's your adoptive sister. she was adopted by your father. I think you should talk to your sister."
"Rin, you've just reunited with your sister. I'm sure you won't let your sister go. but I think your sister has already come to a conclusion. so I'll leave it to you. this also goes for you Medusa. in a way you are connected to Sakura."
"Medea and Serenity. well, we are both connected in some way. so you will come with me anyway. and now we come to the last part."
"Well, I'm a noble devil. as some of you already know. but being a noble. I have to carry some "burdens." I currently have 4 fiancées. I believe I must have a total of 5. with one still unofficial."
"and as for Artoria that we haven't talked about. we had already talked before. about this. I hope you have talked to Rin and Sakura to have some idea about your homeland." when I finish speaking, I see only her nodding in affirmation.
but what worried me was that Medea had pulled her hood up and was muttering continuously. it made me remember something very important.
"In the devil society. it is completely normal for us to have a harem. I just wanted to make that clear, for some people." I see, out of the corner of my eye, both Rin and Sakura blushing. and Artoria muttering something like that bastard magician.
but what was most impressive was that Medea was laughing softly.
Suddenly, Medea let out a loud laugh, making everyone in the room jump in surprise. Her eyes gleamed with mischief when she finally calmed down enough to speak.
"Oh, Riser, Riser," she said between giggles. "You really know how to surprise a girl. A harem, huh? Who would have thought our noble little devil had such a naughty side?" She winked at me, a teasing smile on her lips.
I felt my cheeks flush, but I kept my composure. "It's perfectly normal in my society," I reiterated, casting a sidelong glance at Rin and Sakura, who looked mortified. "There's nothing wrong with it."
Artoria grumbled something unintelligible, probably comparing me to that perverted magician she knew. I sighed, knowing I would have a lot to explain later.
"Anyway," I continued, trying to change the subject. "Who is willing to accompany me on this journey? I know it's a difficult decision, but I promise to do everything so we can return whenever we want."
A heavy silence fell in the room, broken only by the sound of utensils being placed on the table. Illya was the first to speak up.
"I'll go with you, Riser," she said firmly, her eyes shining with determination. "I have nothing holding me back here anymore. And besides," she smiled shyly, "you're like a brother to me now."
I smiled back, feeling warmth in my chest. "Thank you, Illya. I promise to take care of you."
Medea stood up with a flourish. "Well, I guess it's settled then. I'll go too. After all," she gave me a seductive look, "I can't let my husband escape so easily, can I?"
I laughed, shaking my head. This woman was still going to kill me with embarrassment.
Serenity nodded silently, indicating that she would also accompany me. Her normally impassive face had a slight smile on her lips.
Rin and Sakura exchanged a long look, seeming to have an entire conversation just with their eyes. Finally, Rin sighed and turned to me.
"We're going too," she declared, crossing her arms. "We can't let Serenity go alone. And besides," her face flushed a little, "I'm curious to see your world, Riser."
Sakura smiled sweetly. "It will be quite an adventure. I'm looking forward to seeing what awaits us."
Medusa, always silent, just nodded, indicating she would follow Sakura wherever she went.
Finally, all eyes turned to Artoria, who seemed lost in thought. She looked up, meeting mine, and I could see the doubt and hesitation in her gaze.
"I... I don't know," she admitted, her voice trembling. "It's all so new to me. I don't know if I'm ready to leave everything behind."
I approached her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's okay," I said softly. "You don't have to decide now. And even if you decide to stay, know that you'll always have a place with us. After all," I smiled, winking, "I still have your contract, don't I?"
Artoria blushed, but I could see a small smile forming on her lips. "Thank you, Riser. I... I'll think carefully."
I nodded, satisfied. I was sure she would make the right decision for herself. (A/N: without any manipulation of course.)
"Well, then it's settled," I announced, clapping my hands. "Let's start preparing tomorrow. We have a long journey ahead, and I want to be ready for anything."
Everyone nodded, a mix of excitement and anxiety in the air. Illya yawned, rubbing her eyes.
"I think it's time for us to go to bed," suggested Medea, smiling at the little girl. "Tomorrow will be a long day."
We agreed, and after a few more words of farewell, each went to their room. As I prepared to sleep, I couldn't help but think about everything that had happened so far, and everything that was still to come.
My life had completely changed in such a short time. From a simple underworld noble to an interdimensional traveler, about to embark on the greatest adventure of my life. And best of all, I wouldn't be alone.
I smiled to myself, feeling a warm glow spread through my chest. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly happy.
With these thoughts, I fell asleep, dreaming of the endless possibilities that awaited me beyond the borders of this world.
