Chapter 2 - Make me omnipotent

Ben closed his eyes and braced the incoming removal of his memories, at least, that is the occurence that he expected to happen.

It's been a while, and he still remember everything, leaving him confused.

'Those AI said that I will lose my memories, but have they actually lied?'

Ben thought in his mind, it is actually his wish for his memories to be removed, he has many regrets in his past life that he want to forget

Ben tried to open his eyes, but he can't feel anything, as if he has no physical body.

'They said that I can do anything once I'm inside the Virtual Universe.' Ben pondered for a moment and tried to look around, but he can't see anything.

As a matter of fact, there was nothing, not even darkness, as if darkness is not existent in this universe, it is similar to what you see using your elbows; nothing.

He concluded that this is probably what a congenitally blind person experiences, they have no impression of light before, therefore, even describing it to them makes no sense to them.

[Physics of VU-01: Default (Same thing as the real universe)]

An information entered his mind, it's not text, nor image, something different, and it is ineffable.

Based on the information, the physics of this universe is similar to the real universe.

'Let me try something' Ben said in his mind.

'Make me omnipotent' Ben boldy said.

'Since they said that I can do anything, then let's see.'

[Granted. Omnipotent, but only in this universe]

Suddenly, a vast amount of information entered Ben's mind.

All the things that will ever happen in this universe is already imparted on his mind, he can't be confused anymore.

All of a sudden, he knows everything in this universe, as being omnipotent directly made him omniscient, and even omnipresent in this universe.

All the pain, regrets, and despair that he experienced in his life are now replaced with an extremely blissful 'energy', that if someone asked him to experience his harsh life for an infinite amount of times just to be omnipotent for a second, he would do it.

Then he knows a paradox that confused humans in the real universe, the concept that made people debate ad nauseam, the omnipotence paradox.

'It was said that if an omnipotent god can do anything, then that god can also create a stone that he cannot lift, but if that god can't make a stone that he cannot lift, he is not omnipotent, but if that god can make a stone that he cannot lift, he is also not omnipotent'

Ben already knows the answer to this paradox, everything is so simple to him, but as an author, Ben's answer is ineffable to mere humans like us.

Ben knows that there is something that can make an omnipotent being able to create the stone that it cannot lift, but remain omnipotent, but it's an information that can't be assimilated by the human mind. The answer can only be accessed by higher dimensional beings like him. Trying to understand the answer is like trying to memorize all the digits of pi.

Ben is timeless, he existed here for an infinite amount of time, and decided to make something, An emotion. it's been an infinite amount of time since he felt a single emotion, since being omnipotent made him invulnerable to emotion, emotions are the result of the chemical reactions in the brain, since in this universe, he has not created a body, let alone anything, there was no emotion for him to experience. Now he decided to make an emotion that transcends everything, something that a mere three dimensional being cannot even hope to comprehend.

One must understand that since he became omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, he already knows everything, and even everything that he will ever do in this universe. One might say that he just destroyed his own free will, but it doesn't, because there was a transcedental logic behind this that can't be comprehended by even a type infinity civilization on kardeshev scale.

It was an emotion that is kind of similar to desire, but much more profound. The 'desire' rendered him able to have the urge to do something, if there was no urge to do something, one can only be at rest.
