"A duel ??"
"Yes, come and fight me !!"
"Why would I have to duel with you ?"
Henry asked Winston while folding his arms.
"I want to know how strong the hero is, moreover I am Winston Harrington the strongest swordsman in the country"
Winston spoke out confidently while puffing his chest to everyone who was standing and watching around them.
"..."
"Are you scared ? I thought you were the chosen one right ?? Don't you want to fight me and prove yourself ?"
Winston started to provoke Henry.
"Fine, is there any agreement or compromise after this duel ??"
Henry asked him about the outcome of the duel.
"It's up to you, I won't lose to the likes of you ?? AHHAHA"
"Fine then, if I win this duel I want you to break off your engagement with Lady Claire. Are you fine with that ?"
".. what "
Claire was stunned when she heard that.
"Sure why not ?"
Winston answered with no hesitation or any consideration about his fiance.
"And if I won I want you to acknowledge me that I was the strongest swordsman in this country and kneel down to me right in front of everyone. What do you say ?"
Winston continued with a demand if he won.
"Sure, lets asked the headmaster to be our witness and confirming about our agreement then"
"I'm fine with that, I don't really care anyway"
With that said, Henry went and asked the headmaster, Mr. Gideon. He was the homeroom and the headmaster of this academy. Upon confirming with both parties, Gideon asked them to sign an agreement to declare their official duel.
Teachers and students all over the campus were so excited to see this match as everyone was praising Henry for his courage and boldness to fight with Winston, the rudest and the most arrogant student in the academy. On top of that, people were also relieved to hear that if Henry won this duel, Claire would be free from Winston's palm.
Claire Grey, a pure and innocent maiden with a kind heart. Her beauty figure and personality were acknowledged by everyone in this academy, everyone were all looking up to her. But after the engagement announcement between her and Winston, her friend and everyone who knew her were all pity and concerned with this news. Winston's rumors and his bad reputation were recognized by everyone.
At first, Claire didn't believe these stories as she did meet him once when they were a kid. At that time, she saw Winston as one of the nicest kids she ever met but everything changed when the grown-up Winston appeared once again and enrolled in the same academy as her.
For a whole week after the enrollment, Winston never talked or even looked at her. He neglected his role as her fiance and caused trouble all over the campus. He spent most of his time skipping classes, hanging around with other girls and dueling with other students. His bad reputation had increased potentially until the day of the ceremony where he received nothing from the goddess.
"If both party are ready, please make your way into the arena"
Gideon informed Henry and Winston to walk inside the arena and make their way into their prospective standing point.
"Lord Henry, Lord Henry please be safe"
"Let go Henry, kick that guy butt !! "
"Henry the hero !!"
Everyone in the audience seat were all roaring and supporting Henry as soon as he made his way into the arena.
"Tsk .. why are they cheering for that idiot?"
Winston was so annoyed by the cheering sound inside the colosseum.
".. Lord Winston, please .. be safe"
Claire rushed to his side and wished him safe before Winston made his way into the arena.
"what.... don't you feel glad about this duel?"
".. ehh .."
Winston muttered out somthing and left Claire in a puzzled expression.
"The weapon of this duel will be a sword, please use the one that the school provided."
Gideon advised the challenger to use the provided sword that was placed inside the arena.
"The rule is simple, if one of the opponents could not bear and hold his sword anymore the duel will be over ----"
"Enough with the babbling old man, just let us fight already !!!!"
Winston cutted off Gideon's speech and forced him to stop wasting any more time.
" ….. Ok then let's the duel begin"
