Julie was about to leave the room when Marlon walked, she wasn't ready to face him after everything that had happened.
Serenity on seeing Marlon quickly walked towards his side with her hands still on her face, "that bitch slapped me", she said pointing at Julie with tears in her eyes.
In the blink of an eye, Marlon darted towards Julie, launching her with a slap on her face, she was in shock she didn't believe Marlon would dare to raise a finger at her.
She paused for a moment, her heart was aching not because she still loved Marlon but because she had given him all of her love and had tried to make him happy no matter the circumstances.
Marlon oddly cupped Julie's face with both his hands, " you shouldn't do that to you poor cousin, she's too precious to me", he said with a mischievous smile on his face". "Do you understand? he added placing a kiss on her forehead.
Julie was instantly irritated, he was acting like the total psychopath that he was, she turned around about the head out when she heard Marlon say, "Don't you worry, you will always continue to be my wife", her blood began to boil on hearing this but she didn't turn back to confront him, she didn't want Marlon to her struggling to hide her grief and to see how much pain his words and actions had left in her heart.
What made it worse was the way he tried to assure Julie that she would still be his ONLY WIFE" as though he thought that was what she wanted.
Marlon clicked his tongue, "You shouldn't always throw a tantrum like this all the time, you know well enough that I ain't sleeping not sleeping with serenity by choice? This is your fault, because you're always busy with work and never have the time to fulfill your responsibilities, so it's just so natural for me to find someone to take care of those needs, you should be happy I chose your cousin instead of a complete stranger.
Julie's temper started to thin, she clutched her dress as she continued to ignore him, she didn't want to get annoyed by responding to him.
"Serenity is your cousin, right? She's just like a sister to you so she's the best candidate for me to pass the time with, you both are similar, and you shouldn't be upset about this, at least I chose her among all the dozen women begging to be with me.
Julie finally turned and glared at Marlon and then at Serenity, her eyes full of rage and despair. They were both shocked by the tears hidden at the corner of her eyes, they never knew she could be affected by the whole situation cause she had always looked so cold and reserved but they were wrong, she had tried so hard to hide her grief to avoid giving them the satisfaction they wanted but here she was with tears in her eyes.
"A random hooker on the street would have been better, instead of my cousin, but still it would be considered cheating", she replied in a hoarse voice.
Serenity wanted to keep quiet but seeing Julie broken made her happy and she wanted to make her even more broken and sad, lit doesn't matter, Cus, he's with me and that's all that mattered, it's not like you both have a child of your own, you might even be barren for all we know", Serenity said with all confidence.
