I pushed open the door of the Café and sat down in my usual spot after greeting the staff there.
" How can I help you today, sir?" The server asked me. " The usual." I told her and she nodded before walking back to the bar to get my coffee.
I opened the newspaper and started flipping through the news.
If you want to know what happened to me over the past ten years, then here you go.
I started studying thanks to Sir Yukihide. I got a diploma and began writing under his guidance. Yukihide turned out to be one of the famous writers of this country, and while learning under him and slowly publishing my own manuscripts, I began building a name for myself too. I became quite famous, especially when it comes to kids' books, but not to Yukihide's level yet. I'm definitely not that rich too, but I'm happy, that's enough for me. I think that's what Mom's dream was for, I've become a great writer. One who spreads light through his words and ink.
The coffee finally came and I placed the newspaper away before taking a sip of it and sliding a coocky inside my pocket to feed the now pink shy Dream. What? You want to know how I got it?
Well, after ten years of hard work, I discovered that Gray shifted from a cold grey furry ball to a shy pink furry ball.
When I went back to the village and coincidentally met with the Dreams' old man again, he offered to exchange the pink Dream with any other Dream I wanted. But I refused. " I will be keeping Gray, thank you. It's the most suitable Dream for me." Was what I told him and the old man only gave me an approving smile.
And for those wondering why did I go back to the village in the first place? Do you still remember the promise between me and my teacher? That when I would find out what I want to be, I would have to write my homework and hand it to her with my own hand. Well, I went back to fulfill that promise, though it turned out to be a 45-page leather-bound story.
Memories of the old days kept flowing into my mind and I only snapped when I heard the Café's door opening. Someone sat down behind me and the server went to serve him. " A parfait please." A very soft angelic voice spoke. A one that I knew very well.
I thought that I may be mistaken but, blame my curiosity. I stood up and walked to the woman who took the seat behind me, long dark brown hair, brown eyes, and finally red glasses and a red bow, as usual. " Excuse me..." I started.
" Yeah." The woman said as she raised her head up and her eyes widened by a fraction. " Did we meet somewhere?" I asked with a smirk. She answered with a mocking smile. " I don't know. Do you think so, Yume?"
I chuckled before sitting in front of her. " Time flies by, huh? It has been a while!"
" Very long." She giggled. It was then that my eyes fell on the book next to her on the table. She seemed to notice that and smiled. " I kept reading every book you've published."
" Me too..." She snapped in surprise and I continued with a smile. " I kept listening to every song you've played."
A blush appeared on her face. " Is that so..."
" How did you manage to convince your father?"
As we kept talking, our pink Dreams got out and started wandering together on the table.
" It was a little bit hard. But still, he was my father, and he cared about how I felt after all." She explained.
" I'm glad for you." She smiled at me.
" I'm glad for you too, Yume."...

" Did you get a good one?" I asked my son when he sat down, his camera in his hands. " Yep, mother seems gorgeous in this one." He said showing me the photo of the brunette woman playing the piano, she was wearing a beautiful pink dress, matching the pink gorgeous piano she was sitting to.
Our son kept flipping through the photos he captured for the day. " Isn't that Amy?" I said pointing at the woman with blonde hair.
" That's right. As I was a good boy and didn't cry when I was given the injection today, Aunt Amy promised to take a picture with me." He said and stood up to try and get another photo of the woman playing on the platform.
" You're good at taking pictures. Do you want to become a photographer?" I asked him.
" I have no idea of what I should be till now, Dad." I smiled, that was familiar.
" I see, a grey Dream then." The boy seemed a bit surprised. " Do you know that I was once like you? I didn't know what I should be, and I became confused about how I should live my life. People around me started leaving me alone. But as time went by, I learned that I should follow my heart and keep doing the things that I love."
I patted my pocket out of an old habit. Gray was no more there, same goes for Hannah's Dream. That's the strange thing with them, once you reach your goal, Dreams fade away all of a sudden and without a warning. You just wake up one day and they're gone. But their blessings are always with you, to the very end. "The same applies to you too, Yuki, so keep doing the thing you love till the end."
The boy nodded at me with a smile. " Ah! Your mother had finished, let's go give her the blossom."
I said holding his hand and walking with a blossom of pink roses toward her before giving it to her.
" Wait! I should memorize this!" Yuki said as he backed away a bit from us and held up his camera. " Smile for the camera!"
