Block, dodge, parry, slash. Ronan's teachings were hammered in to him, there wasn't much skill the butler could pass on, after all Lucas had no interest in the unique martial arts he used. But the fundamental flow of combat was ingrained in Lucas's body.
The marionette was strong, but it lacked intelligence. for the second time it over shot, giving Lucas another opportunity to cut down on its joints. His unique style, passed down by The Mentor's Hand, incorporated a violent display of attacks.
Every strike was primed with the intent of crippling his enemy, a constant barrage of heavy blows, with no care for the wielders stamina and safety. "let it swing for my neck, I'll just remove its arm before it reaches me." was the primary focus of his attacks.
The puppet arranged its steel limbs to block an attack from above, its body locking in to a rigid unmovable mountain, unfortunately it was a trap. Kicking its "knee" with as much force as he could muster Lucas heard a sickening snap, he smiled.
Using some kind of ancient mahogany chair, Titania hit the marionettes back with as much force as the giantess could muster. thrown off by the force, The puppet failed to pivot on its broke leg and tumbled in a heap of limbs.
With the Marionette incapacitated, Lucas wasted no time in delivering a final, decisive blow. Drawing The Mentor's Hand with lightning speed, he aimed for the puppet's vulnerable joints, slashing with precision and determination until the puppet lay still, its limbs scattered around it.
"Well that wasn't so bad was it?" chuckled Titania, clearly expecting a more difficult fight. they probably would of had one to, if Lucas hadn't of used the passive skills that came along with The Mentor's.
"There's more of them, Titania... This was number 11, which means we'll have to deal with at least ten more..." Lucas mentioned. He had no proof of course, except what the system had told him, so Titania had no reason to believe his words.
The relief in her face began to fade away with astonishing speeds. For a moment Lucas was sure she would run away and leave him here. After all, without the natural strength that came with being a giant, the merchant had little to no means of protection.
Instead she offered an alternative. "I expect you won't leave with me, Lucas, and despite your many short-comings..." Lucas ignored the emphasis on -short-, "I have grown fond of you and the lovely Adara..."
Dropping the Ruby broach on the ground, Titania took a step back. Watching as her carriage appeared from thin air, Lucas did his best to stop his jaw from falling to far from the rest of his head.
"And thus, I will remain here, safe from the dangers but also turning this into a stronghold. Ellius no doubt knows about our presence here... and I'm sure he has no intention of letting us stay. so we can turn this basement into our new camp!"
The merchant seemed happy with her compromise, Lucas did not. In his eyes she was being cowardly, by refusing to help him reach the evidence needed to thwart Ellius Titania was allowing Adara to remain here in his grasp.
Keeping the venom out of his voice Lucas tried to muster a smile, "Just make sure you don't steal anything until we know this guys a criminal, yeah?"
