Thunder didn't return quickly. It took almost an hour before the guard commander came and gestured for them to follow him. "You are lucky. My Lord was holding judgment today and will see you in his great hall!"
Holding judgment? Belialthorn would like to see what Thunder meant. He led them toward a heavy set of wooden doors with glyphs engraved on its surface. Thunder put his hand in it and it opened smoothly.
They entered directly into what Belialthorn could see was Riven's court. It was big and packed with outlaws on either side, leaving the middle space free. Thick black vines that looked like tree roots latched into the walls around the room like snakes.
The middle space, from the door, led directly to Riven's throne and it was then that Belialthorn understood why the Captains don't want to fight him.
