Before the duo could awaken, The older looking man who announced the ranks spoke again. This time about something important.
{I'd like to welcome a special guest... Who is the daughter of the two {Godly} awakened. Key component in the empire at the age of 16. THE CROWN PRINCESS OF THE EMPIRE. AURELIA KHRYSOS.}
...
It was an understatement to say the crowd went ballistic. The princess always had an envoy following her around, but the academy doesn't allow things of that nature. The academy might as well be a goldmine of connections this year. The professor spoke yet again.
{Now calm down, the princess herself wanted to awaken in public. She wanted to scout out the next talent in the world while also showing off her talent.}
Everyone remained silent waiting for Aurelia to appear, even Deus. He wanted to see how strong the princess would be. She was a prodigy. A prodigy of prodigies. That was without support from her parents or being awakened. Even without being named in the public, many different people know of her exploits - including Deus. She placed first in every single academic contest in the government junior academy - followed by Deus himself. She could do anything she wanted with the skill she was gifted at birth.
"I imagine she will be otherworldly beautiful. With parents like her's, being called gods by common folk." While Max was theorizing about her potential looks, Deus was trying to predict what her general rank would be.
'She will at least be a {Godly} awakened, but who says that's the highest it goes. There were rumors of a greater rank called {Astral}, but it has never been seen before. If the child of the two strongest humans in history will remain at {Godly} rank, I don't know if there would be any rank like {Astral}.'
A person started walking through the crowd with a cloak on. The suspicion was that they were the princess. The crowd parted for them, even Deus, who had a long history with the princess, backed away.
{This will probably be the most important awakening in all of history.} The old man added.
Once the hooded figure got onto the stage, they took off their hood. Under it was the most beautiful girl anyone present has seen.
She had golden flowing golden hair. Glowing from the sun shining on it. Beautifully maintained skin. And hair that many women would kill for, Aurelia had it.
She had an incredibly athletic body. Deus had no qualms about believing that Aurelia worked for that. Her parents probably forced her to train incessantly all throughout her childhood, not allowing any chance of freedom.
Along with all of that, Aurelia had an aura that excluded high royalty. Because of that, in the junior academy, people often did whatever she said out of instinct. They never questioned what she said, even if it was outrageous.
Aurelia started speaking soon after she took her hood off. "I was told by a powerful mystic someone powerful would awaken today." She said this with a smirk on her face, while turning her head to look straight at Deus. The crowd wasn't exactly paying attention, so no one except the Deus noticed.
{Let's not waste anymore time.}
The old man was secretly excited to participate in the awakening of the princess.
He then released some sort of aura from his body. It then wrapped around the princess. This happens for every awakening, but the old man was being as careful as possible to not injure the future leader of the planet.
The strange energy wrapped around the princess started to retract back to the professor. He had a shocked look on his face when he said.
{Aurelia Khrysos... Rank {Astral}.}
***
(In a certain luxurious throne room)
An older looking woman sweetly said to her husband "Our daughter just awakened he general rank. She is the first {Astral} rank on the planet."
The man just chuckled and said with a smile. "it's as expected from our daughter, it's only a matter of time before she will surpass us in strength."
The man added with a face full of worry.
"The real worrying thing is the princess' overwhelming strength itself, she has no one to control her at the moment. She might lose control one day and kill everyone in the world. And with her flaw being a mystery. I just hope the mystic wasn't wrong about the prediction."

(Back to the academy)
Max was shook to his core, he was supposed to be the center of attention when he awakened, not the princess.
While Max was overflowing with envy and spite, Deus was thinking of what he would eat for dinner. It was fair to say he expected the general rank of her.
{Calm down. We still have quite a bit of people to awaken. V is up now.}
It was finally time for Max and Deus to awaken. They were waiting bored until that princess fiasco, now the both of them are excited to see their talent. Deus was still hoping to get into the academy, even if rich brats like to gather there.
{Max Vermillion please come up to the stage to awaken}
Max's family name caused some waves through the crowd. His family was known to be a benevolent ruler of the Ignis Kingdom. While he was walking onto the stage, Max was smiling to the crowd, very celebrity like.
Throughout the whole awakening process, Max was grinning. He was probably thinking of the faces people will have when he awakens.
{Max Vermillion... Rank {Godly}.}
It was as if a wave of shock went through the crowd, not just an {Astral} rank, but a {Godly} rank as well? The only known {Godly} ranks were the current rulers of the empire, so many of the people present were shocked at the luck of this generation.
Max had the largest smile ever seen on his face while walking back to him.
"How was that Deus? I almost made as many people pass out as the princess."
The two of them kept talking until it was time for Deus to awaken his general rank.
{Deus Volente please come onto the stage to awaken}
Deus was worried for the first time in years. This one single awakening decides his entire future life. While walking, Deus started to get anxious about his potential rank. What if he got a low rank? What would happen to him?
Once he was on the stage, the professor released his aura through tendrils onto Deus.
***
When the tendrils retracted from his body, Deus felt a horrible headache. But horrible couldn't even begin to explain it. It felt like Deus' brains were being hit with a sledge hammer. Little did he know, his brain was reconstructing into something more fitting for his innate ability.
The last thing Deus heard before he passed out from the pain was.-
{Deus Volente.... {Rank {Astral}.}
