Later in the night, like every other Friday that happens while Carla is not on duty at the hospital, the friends meet up and talk about their week at work and personal experiences. So today is one of those off-duty days and after work, Carla goes to Marilena's apartment, eager to share the events of her day. Let's say the kiss! As they settle in with cups of tea, Marilena can barely contain her excitement.
"You won't believe what happened at lunch today," Marilena begins, her eyes lighting up with a mixture of nerves and exhilaration.
Carla leans in, curiosity evident in her expression. "What happened? Did something happen at the office?"
Marilena takes a deep breath, relishing the chance to finally confide in her friend. "Well, Christian and I had lunch together, as part of our little charade, right?"
