At half past 5 pm sharp, Carla walks through the door, looking slightly tired but glowing with the success of the day. Derek greets her with a warm smile and a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey there, superstar. Your dress is all set," Derek says, holding up the garment bag.
"Thank you, Derek. You're a lifesaver," Carla says, her eyes lighting up at the sight of the dress. "How was your day?"
"It was good," Derek replies. "Got some great shots for the new project. But I've been looking forward to tonight. You're going to look amazing in this dress."
Carla smiles and gives Derek a hug. "I'm so excited for tonight. Let me just freshen up, and then we can head out."
While Carla heads to the bathroom to freshen up and change, Derek checks his messages and confirms the plans for the evening. He also makes sure his camera is ready, planning to capture some great moments from the event.
