Christian is wrapping up his quarterly presentation when his phone buzzes on the conference table. Glancing at the screen, he sees it's Jorge, the supervisor of the Vilanculos branch. The urgency in Jorge's repeated calls makes him step out of the boardroom, leaving murmuring board members behind.
"Jorge, what's happening?" Christian asks, his tone sharp and direct.
"Sir, we have a serious problem. A pipe burst in one of the premium suites. The ground floor is flooded, and several guests have been displaced. Some are upset, and I thought you should know right away," Jorge says, his voice tight with stress.
Christian exhales deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Have you called the maintenance team? And what's the current status of the guests?"
"Yes, sir. Maintenance is working on it now, but it'll take hours to fix. We've started relocating some guests to nearby properties, but they're not happy," Jorge admits.
