Wyatt Winters ❉
I woke up, almost jumping off my bed, and my body was covered with cold sweat.
Another nightmare, just like every night.
Dreaming about the girl again.
It didn't make any sense, because I didn't know who she was. My nightmares tell me something that I don't understand.
Yet, the only clue I knew was that she was real…she felt real, almost alive.
With that thought, my heart throbs in heartache.
Autumn…
I sigh, as my hand goes through my hair, feeling myself with regret again.
I told her, before she left, that I was gonna protect her…
Yet, my mother told me Autumn wasn't real…just my imagination…
But Autumn was real, at least before she went missing…
I was only ten years old, but what could I've done to protect her?
"Yo, bro? Wake up!" I heard my assistant, knocking at my hotel bedroom.
Ugh, not him again.
"Yes, Arthur?" I ask, still feeling tired from the trip to the US to England.
"You have a meeting today, around 10 am with your mother." He says through the door.
I sighed and got up to change.
"So? Tell my mother that I'm not feeling good." I replied, hoping my mother could understand.
"Umm…problem though, this is important to you." He replies.
"What's so important about this meeting?" I asked, grabbing a tie from my drawer.
"Well, it's about you and finding a bride, I believe."
Great, another one of my mother's schemes to get me married…
"I'll be there soon, but for now I need some dark coffee." I answer, being done with changing into my morning clothes.
"Oooh? I know the best coffee in England!"
Kinda regret coming here…
***
"As you can see, this is the best coffee shop around here." Arthur stops the car in front of a coffee shop.
"You go ahead and get your coffee, I'll find a parking spot for the car."
I nodded silently and got off while looking around my surroundings.
Heading inside the front door of the coffee shop, the smell of coffee and bread.
I look around but still not impressed. This place feels like a museum. An old ancient forgotten museum…
I don't like it.
As I tried to turn back outside, I felt a small weight crushing into me.
"Excuse me- Oof!"
I look to see a woman with ginger hair in front of me, she felt small in my arms, and her body on my chest.
Awkwardly, I quickly pulled her away and continued walking out of the shop, avoiding eye contact with her.
That was weird…
"Did you get your coffee?" Hearing Arthur out of nowhere made me freeze for a second.
Why did I hire this guy for my England trip?
I shrug at him and Arthur nods, understanding the situation.
Now back inside our car, Authur gets into the driver's seat, ready to leave the coffee shop.
I thought back, about the woman who crashed into me.
Was it on purpose? Did she know who I was? Was trying to get my attention?-
"Sometimes I wonder though, why don't you have friends, or bother to talk to anyone else besides me." Arthur said, interrupting my thoughts.
"I don't know. You seem…cool?"
"Awwww, I knew you loved me."
Regret saying that Wyatt?
