Amelia sat alone in her dimly lit room, the weight of betrayal heavy on her chest. She scrolled through the messages on her phone, her heart heavy with skepticism. Could someone truly love her for who she was, curves and all? The doubts crept in, whispering cruel reminders of past rejections and hurtful words.
But amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope flickered within her. She remembered the words of encouragement from her friend Sarah, the fleeting moment of solidarity in the face of ridicule. Perhaps there was truth in Sarah's words, a truth Amelia had long denied herself.
With trembling hands, she typed out a response to the mysterious admirer. She poured her heart out, sharing her fears and insecurities, laying bare the scars of her past. And to her surprise, the response was not one of judgment or ridicule, but of understanding and acceptance.
As the conversation unfolded, Amelia felt a spark ignite within her. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she allowed herself to hope. Hope for acceptance, hope for love, hope for a future where her worth was not defined by the number on a scale or the size of her clothes. Just as she gradually hope for something new and a spark should happen, she realize its all wrong.
Amelia kept on having a nice conversation and call with her online admirer and how well he treated her and he told her how to love herself and don't Care about anyone else. A month flew by and She also began to notice that her constant calling and conversation was reducing at felt she thought she was thinking too much, so she went about with her daily routine, Two weeks later,
She clearly remembered that her online admirer said he was going to pay her her visit but he didn't come or talk about that direction, so she decided to call him on monday and asked him
Hey, good morning uhhm well are you still coming over today?
And he replied No, that he had classes , "ohhhh, but Amelia could clearly remember him single he doesn't attends monday classes, that was strange but NVM. Later that day he called her when she was at her friend's place and they talked properly, he also introduced her to some of his friends, after that day he started giving her all sort excuses like, he cousin girlfriend was sick, he's female cousin was sick and he also said she's a little girl, so I asked her age and he said she's 19??????? Tf like seriously she's 19 and small buh what about me, clearly that day didn't end well and they argued and stopped talking from that moment. She clearly told him off and blocked him on all her social media, but I could swear she was hurt her heart was torn ,especially recalling his word to her "this is the problem of being with plus size insecure girls they literally they have the right to question ur live when they aren't even worth!
That was the last straw for Lia, it killed her, I could swear she cried so hard for days because she felt that someone accepted her, days passed since she began to hurt herself again.
Then someone told her something "Amelia your are going be a very strong woman who will sf valued with out needing any ones approval for you to be approved, right now I feel you are in a place when ur worth aren't valued but don't among the bad eggs they are also good ones waiting for you..... she smiled and cried when she saw this message because she saw the truth in them but there was another problem though. Amelia sat alone in the dimly lit room, tears streaming down her cheeks as she grappled with the weight of her emotions. The darkness enveloped her, mirroring the turmoil that churned within her soul. With trembling hands, she wiped away the tears and took a deep, shaky breath.
"Am I ever going to be enough?" she whispered into the silence, her voice barely audible against the backdrop of her own despair. "Will I ever be able to move on from this pain, from the hurt that consumes me?"
She closed her eyes, trying to block out the memories that threatened to overwhelm her. Images flashed before her - taunts and insults, moments of rejection and betrayal. Each one was like a dagger to her heart, reopening old wounds that refused to heal.
"Why am I even here?" she cried out, her voice filled with anguish. "What purpose do I serve in this world? Is there even a place for someone like me?"
The questions echoed in the darkness, unanswered and unresolved. She felt lost, adrift in a sea of uncertainty, searching for a lifeline to pull her from the depths of her despair. But in the silence of the room, there was only emptiness, a void that threatened to swallow her whole.
And yet, despite the darkness that threatened to consume her, a flicker of hope remained. It was small and fragile, barely visible amidst the shadows, but it was there nonetheless. It whispered to her, urging her to hold on, to keep fighting, to believe that there was still light to be found in the darkest of places.
With a trembling voice, Amelia spoke to herself once more, her words a desperate plea for solace and redemption. "I may not have all the answers right now," she said, her voice steadier this time, "but I refuse to let the darkness win. I refuse to let it define me or dictate my worth. I am stronger than this, stronger than I ever thought possible."
And with that, she allowed herself to believe - to believe in the power of resilience, in the beauty of self-love, and in the promise of a brighter tomorrow. For even in the darkest of moments, there was still hope, still the possibility of redemption. And as Amelia sat alone in the darkness, she knew that she would find her way back to the light, one step at a time. And she thought about her next move and she remembered that she hasn't seen her mum in months and she missed her so she visited her and wanted to break the good news of her admission into the university and she knows that her mum will really be happy and proud because she loves her.
