"Haaa… how time flies" on a lake that seem to shimmer with starlight an old man with slightly gray hair tied to a pun was sitting or rather floating

He was draped in an a blue robe with the picture of a dragon circling around itself making the scene look peaceful but if anyone was here right now they would recognize him as the divine sovereign of the universe dao sect.

But there was something wrong about the scene and if someone observed they would find out it was because of the wound at the place his heart was supposed to be as crimson gold blood dripped down turning the lake crimson.

"It appears my time has come" he muttered while staring towards the sky as his blood continued to flow his eyes full of pain and regret but most of all rage as the people he once regarded as friends and family did this to him.

He thought back to all the happened in the last 24 hours and couldn't hold back as the pain he was In increased. the one that pained him the most was his dao companion Felicia whom he couldn't save as he swore on his last breath that if there was a second chance he would not make the same mistakes as he did.

As if on cue his body started to break down into specks of light that disappeared into nothingness save for only one piece that turned into a streak of lights that disappeared into the distance.

The ones feared and revered dragon Sage sovereign that ruled over thousands of miles in all directions was dead and there was no one to witness this sad scene.

In a world far away, a speck of light faltered into being, so beautiful and mysterious it seem to have all the colors of the world. it stood still for a couple of seconds before moving far faster than could be described and came to stop in a clearing in a forest of black trees right above a cradle with a child in it. It hovered as though evaluating before it entered the child through his navel. As his cries reverberated out through there was no one to hear.

Nearly a minute later there was a disturbance air as a woman descended from the sky, landing heavily on the ground and looking at the kid in the cradle she opened her red lips and said.

"Hmm… the disturbance came from here." She looked at the crying child for a while and then "where is your mother, are you the one that released that energy just now?…. Alright I have decided. You are coming with me."

And so it came to be that a boy abandoned by one family chosen by a divine's origin would come to have another, or maybe this is how it was meant to be who knows only time would tell.
