Chapter 1 - Turquoise dress

A woman approached the small porch where the High priest was reading the Holy book. The small porch was part of the High priest's house on the royal grounds where he lived close to the royal temple which he took care of all by himself, always refusing help of his students and royal maids.

The woman, in a simple turquoise dress sat on the unoccupied white rooking chair beside the High priest and casually gave her greeting's.

,,Hello.'' She said with her soft voice that always blessed the ears.

High priest turned to her and bowed his head.

,,Hello , Your Majesty.''

Her Majesty, The Empress, Sun of the Empire Thalia smiled softly and bowed her head a little as she always did when High priest greeted her that way.

,,What brings you here so early in the morning?'' Asked the High priest.

Erdely man with grey hair and unshaved beard always woke up early in the morning. He liked the cold morning breeze as it reminded him of a lovely memory, but no one ever found out what that lovely memory was. Not even his eldest students that he had taught for almost 40 years.

,,I came to greet you, My priest.'' The Empress placed her hands in her lap and turned her body slightly to look at the temple that sparkled in the sun.

,,I gladly receive your greeting's and gladly return them Your Majesty. But what brings you here on a such a lovely day?'' High priest closed the Holy book and gave the Empress a concerned look.

A quick glance at her clothes was enough to cause concerns. The Empress who some would called doll always dressed in glorious and beautiful dresses, and wore accessories that went perfect with them, today was wearing a simple turquoise long sleeved dress that went all the way up her neck, over her shoulders was a simple short white cloak. Even her long blond hair was in a rather simple bun without any decorations that she loved.

There wasn't a maid with her, neither were any of her knights. She was alone.

This was a serious matter.

She didn't look at him while answering his question.

,,I had a dream last night,'' Empress began to speak in a low voice as if she was afraid of her own words.

,,It was a bad dream, a nightmare as they call it. I woke up in the middle of the night.'' She stopped talking for a moment and griped the skirt of her dress just a little, it was barley noticeable.

High priest wanted to ask her what was it about, but he knew, after knowing the Empress for many years, that she will tell him herself, maybe not today, but maybe tomorrow, or in a year, but she will tell him when she is ready. He had a feeling that is not today.

,,I fell asleep shortly after, but I was disturbed by the same nightmare again. Every time I closed my eyes and emptied my mind it appeared.'' And he was right, she won't tell him today. But her description caused a concern.

,,Did you get any sleep last night Your Majesty?'' He asked with a worried tone.

,,No, I did not.'' The Empress looked him in the eyes with a look that a mother would give her children after hardship they might have experienced. High priest quickly realized that that look wasn't for him, but it was indeed a worried mother looking at her child.

,,The air is musky, and so is the time. Something will happen, not necessarily good.'' He said and placed his hand on a closed Holy book.

,,That is why I whish for something good to happen before the bad comes.'' She straitened her back.

,,I ask you as an empress, as a mother, and as a person whishing for only the best. But I feel the need to say that this is not a question but a command I must give for the better tomorrow.'' The Empress indeed never commanded him, only asked and advised him, she never felt the need to give out commands to people around her unless absolutely necessary. This was a moment for that necessity.

,,Crown my eldest son with title of the Crown prince.''

Without a breath to waste High priest answered. ,,I will do as you wish, Your Majesty.''
