"Congratulations, I'm proud of you at least that tells me you have at least a floor as Knight Captain in the future"
"Thank you father"
"As your father and as the Grand Duke, I challenge you to achieve the strength equal to a Commander before you enter the Academy so you' ll graduate early"
"Why not just skip the Academy, it seems like a distraction while I could just build up honor and prestige through subjugating barbarians and monsters alike"
My father had a grin on his face as we were all alone in this office of his.
"It's not that I won't allow you to do that, but if you skip the academy you'll miss out on finding talents that you wouldn't otherwise find on the battlefield"
"I can just recruit them later"
"Someone would take them by then."
As soon as father said that a vision entered my brain, it was Arthur talking to a group, I couldn't make out their figures they were all in black silhouettes
Shortly I was in front of my father again who kept tapping the table.
"Do you understand me?"
"Yes"
"Do you know why? I'll tell you why, I can see you will be talented at the battlefield naturally talented soldiers will follow you or join you that part will take care of itself, reason why I'm able to join battles and have peace of mind when I'm out there is"
"Is because of your ministers, I understand father I'll keep it in mind."
"So long as you find people you can trust then that will be good"
I bowed and left, he didn't say anything about me not joining subjugations, rather he wanted me to at the same time not forget about my social circle.
"I think I understand, Noel, ask the Subjugation Captain the schedules and the objects of the raids."
"Everything?"
"Yes, as early as now I should have at least one or two experiences in raiding don't you think?"
"If that is what you want."
Noel nodded and vanished, I walked alone down the hallway, my siblings aren't here since they are either reading or playing, I wish I could spend more time with them and I do miss them.
[ Scenario Unlocked! ]
A message popped in front of me as I kept walking.
[ Master! A new scenario has been unlocked never before seen by Taehyun! ]
'What is it.'
[ Subjugations! You can aversely affect the plot! ]
'Its already affected, why would I care about it whether or not I'm affecting it, the fact is when I was being overtaken means everything had gone wrong already.'
[ Generating Quest to appease Master! ]
[ Subjugate the Elves! ]
'I refuse, as much as I'd love to I'd rather make connections than anger an entire race.'
[ Making new Quest! ]
[ Make Connections with the Elves. ]
'Not entirely impossible but I'll see what I can do, but this confirms that the next subjugations is closely related to the elves.'
I looked at the window and closed my eyes, it would be awkward for me to just space out randomly instead of looking at the window and look like I was contemplating instead.
As I closed my eyes, a palace opened opened in front of me, there it was an archive, on each floor was information that I need, this was a palace, my memory palace something that I have trained for years and reorganized when I was out for a week.
I walked towards the first floor of the palace, there I stored what I've seen so far, though it was a shelf half of it was empty since I didn't absorb Taehyun's life memory only things about this world that he knew off.
Though I did ask the system to help me enhance this place and I will give it credit since I could have not done this alone without it.
As I walked I looked for the species section and found the Elves written on the book, as I took it, the book opened and memories entered my mind about who and what their roles were and compared it to what I know.
"It seems they are still untrusting towards humans, unless you do something good to them and let them slowly open up to you."
The question is, I don't want to save a lowly elf, I'd rather save someone important, now while we're at it what would I gain now if I do somehow help or even make contact with them.
There are a lot of things I'll have to organize it carefully though I'm not sure if everything I do will work but at least half of it should do.
[ There is a figure that is approaching towards the Master. ]
'Finish what I want and send it to me later, I'll be leaving now'
As soon as I returned to my self I looked at the side of who was approaching me.
"Sir Aaron."
"Young Lord, I heard you've grown."
"I have."
Sir Aaron, although infamous for dual wielding, sadly after months he had told me he was only a rank three knight, he could never sense mana even if he tried to and if it was against humans he could only fight up to Rank Three Knights or Four.
If it was monsters, demons or other species his prowess was equivalent to that of a Rank Five Knight based on technique alone.
"I guess it is time for you to reach part two of my training."
"What does it entail?"
"We are now going to fight everyday for an hour, you already have the basics down, your base is stable, your posture is fine enough what you lack now is refinement."
"What do you mean."
"I have heard that when you attack you use both of your swords to strike a single point, do you know why dual wielding is called impossible in real battles? Its because of that."
I nodded and listened after all he was the expert and I am the beginner.
"Say for example when you strike it at the torso, you make an X mark unless you stab it correct? The second blade at that point will just reinforce the first blades power unless you can cut through with enough power."
"That is a problem that I've encountered when practicing with dummies."
"But right now, compared to me you have aura."
"Which means I can just brute force it."
"Correct! Now let's go, I'll teach you what I've learned throughout my life I hope you can perfect it."
I nodded once more and followed Sir Aaron, but he then stopped.
"Ah right, Sir Gale will join in as well."
Sir Gale was the drunkard Paladin who had taught me a bunch of useful Light spells and funny enough he was competent but I've never had a two on one fight before.
"This will be interesting."
