The following day, Trisha had just gotten off work when she got a call from Collin. She always wondered why he had a lackluster attitude toward her, even though they were dating.
She says wondered why he always kept her at arm's length, his attention to the relationship didn't even match hers. The affectionate and romantic Collin died after their relationship became 2 months old.
The perfect relationship she portrayed to her friends was only a facade. She lied to them, except for Elle, she sniffed out the truth after two weeks. Just telling them the truth meant embarrassment on a grand scale, and she couldn't handle it.
"Hello!", Trisha said, waiting for him to give his flimsy excuses all over again. "I'm so sorry babe, I just got out of a seven-hour yearly meeting!", Collin lied, as he enjoyed the gentle caress of Adriana's soft palms.
"Ohhh, you must have been busy!", Trisha replied. "Yes, I've been that busy!!!, Collin said.
"Let's sleep in tonight!!", Trisha said taking advantage of the situation. "Sleep in, at who's place?!", Collin asked, already having a hunch of what she meant.
"Yes, we can stay at your place!", Trisha replied, confirming the suspicion. Seeing Adriana's displeased expression, Collin quickly opposed the idea.
"let's just have dinner instead, my place is a mess!", Collin replied. "Ohh okay!", "I'll send the address then!", Collin said before cutting the call.
The same thing had been going on for several months now, every time she suggested she went over to his place, he would always make up an excuse, and then, they'll go out instead.
Immediately after she got off the phone with Collin, an incoming call from her mother disrupted her from starting her engines.
"Sweetie, how are you?", Paula Callister literally shrieked into Trisha's ear as usual.
"Ohh my God mom, you're going to spoil my phone and my ear one day!", Trisha said, smiling, it was the usual routine between mother and daughter.
"Whatever, fix your phone then!", Paula replied, rolling her eyes.
"You better not be rolling your eyes mom!", Trisha replied, chuckling, she knew her mother all too well.
"Fine, ill reduce my voice!!", Paula replied. "I cooked dinner!", she continued, in an attempt to get her daughter to visit her.
"Really?, I have a date with Collin like right now!!", Trisha said.
"oh okay. Just stop by afterward, I miss you!!", Paula said, bluntly admitting that she missed her daughter.
"Ohh, and touch up your makeup!", Paula reminded before she cut the call.
She headed to the address Collin sent her, hoping to have a nice meal with him, or, so she thought.
