A ray of sunshine fell on Natalie's face and she opened her eyes to realize it was early afternoon and the sun had moved. She was sweating and smelled so bad.
When she got up from the bench to smell herself, she spotted Kenzo leaning his back against his car in the driveway, staring at her with arms crossed.
She furrowed her eyebrows. "What was he doing there?"
"Can you just come over here?" Kenzo called out.
But Natalie just ignored him. She didn't want to talk to him. Her feelings were hurt and he couldn't just expect her to be fine after everything.
"You're coming here, or I'm coming over to you?" Kenzo added, uncrossing his arms.
"Don't come over here!" Natalie shouted back, "I want peace!"
"At least have some lunch!"
At the mention of the word, Natalie could feel her stomach growling. But she was too proud to admit it.
