Chapter 4 - Vampire (2)

After that beautiful blonde girl crushed all of the handsome men into ashes, the bat that had thrown that bag of blood suddenly flew down in front of her.

Then all of a sudden, that bat started to change shape.

It became bigger and bigger until it took the form of a human, landing in front of the beautiful blonde girl. The form that it took was a beautiful girl with red hair in a pixie bob cut, sharp red eyes, and fangs just like this blonde girl.

After taking the form of a human, that beautiful red haired girl immediately fell down to one knee in front of the beautiful blonde girl. There was a look of regret on her face as she bowed her head and said, "Your highness, I'm sorry it took me so long. I ran into a bunch of the Blood Lord's minions and…"

The beautiful blonde girl didn't let her finish as she came forward to help the beautiful red haired girl up.

With a smile on her face, she said, "It's fine, you don't need to worry about it. I'm just glad that you're alright."

The beautiful red haired girl revealed a stunned look.

The moment that the beautiful blonde girl revealed that smile, she had been dazzled by what seemed like the beautiful moon in the sky.

She didn't know what to say as she could only stare at her in a daze.

But before either of them could say a thing, they suddenly heard clattering coming from outside the door.

As soon as they heard this, both of them gathered a drop of blood and looked at the door cautiously.

Outside the door, I couldn't help cursing my clumsiness as I dropped the phone that I had been holding.

I quickly picked up the phone while my mind was racing for an idea before turning to knock on the door. After knocking, I said, "Is anyone in there?"

As soon as the two beauties in the room heard this, they revealed different expressions.

The beautiful red headed girl revealed a look of disdain and annoyance while the beautiful blonde girl revealed a look of panic.

She quickly turned to the red haired girl with a look as if she was asking what she should do.

The beautiful red haired girl gave a sigh before pushing her from behind and saying, "Go and distract him while I clean up."

Though she said this, there seemed to be a trace of unwillingness in her eyes. It was almost as if she didn't want to let her go, but she let her go to the door in the end.

The beautiful blonde girl only opened the door a crack before slipping through. She even did all that she could to make sure that nothing from the room could be seen.

After she came out, she came up to me and asked, "What are you doing here?"

I reached my hand behind the back of my head and said with an awkward smile, "I forgot a book in my desk that I needed for the homework tonight, so I came back to get it."

There was an awkward silence that filled the air after I said this.

This girl standing in front of me, the one that had just crushed all of those handsome men into dust, she naturally wasn't a normal girl.

This girl's name was Veronica Bloodreign and her other identity was…the Vampire Princess, the princess of the entire vampire race.

From what I had gathered from sneaking around to see all her fights, I had learned that there was this powerful vampire known as the Blood Lord that had wanted to bring the vampire race out into the open and declare war on the humans.

The Blood Lord and his subordinates believed that vampires were superior to humans, so they wanted to start this war to turn the humans into their slaves.

The Vampire Princess didn't approve of this, so they had been fighting this entire time to determine the fate of the vampire race.

After a long awkward silence, I finally asked, "What are you doing here so late?"

Veronica couldn't help jolting when she heard this and she wasn't able to say anything.

But luckily for her, the red haired girl came out to save her.

"We were here to pick up some things ourselves."

When I saw her, I wasn't surprised to see her here.

This girl was Yasmin Bloodvein, who was also our classmate and she was also supposed to be Veronica's cousin.

The two of them had transferred here together and she had always been by Veronica's side.

But I knew that she was actually Veronica's servant, the maid of the Vampire Queen.

Because she suddenly came out, Veronica couldn't help jumping in surprise and moving closer to me. As she moved closer, she almost tripped, so I quickly reached out to help her.

When my hands came around her to help her up, Veronica's face couldn't help turning red.

Yasmin immediately flared up when she saw this and pushed me aside before helping Veronica up. She went around her and checked every angle of her, though one had to ignore the look of pleasure that was on her face as she circled Veronica.

Only when she made sure that there were no injuries at all on Veronica, she turned to me and said, "Move away from her you lowly peasant. You're not worthy of getting near her highness."

I wasn't surprised by this since this was the way that she usually talked about Veronica.

When Veronica heard this, she immediately pinched Yasmin's hand and Yasmin fell forward to the ground before Veronica said, "Stop it, don't bully him."

Yasmin revealed a hurt look, but she didn't say anything else.

The three of us just awkwardly stood there, not knowing what to do next.

In the end, I broke it up with a cough before saying, "Then since we've all gotten the things that we need, should we head home?"

The two of them were so focused on their own thing that they had forgotten about the lie that I had made up about leaving something behind.
