Chapter 7 - Dreams- yeah I dreamt

While I intended to incorporate our shared experiences in this section, unfortunately, such moments are scarce. We've only crossed paths twice, and I can only categorize these encounters as accidental meetings. Therefore, there is no way of creating fictional moments.

On another note, it's accurate that I've dreamt of you in person on approximately seven times and the dialogues within these dreams have been numerous. So I've decided to include some of those in this section.

In the first night following my live approach in the college corridor, something extraordinary occurred—a dream where I encountered you, marking the inception of a series of dreams.

Although I had dreamed of our conversations before, this was the first time I had seen you in person.

I was pleasantly surprised as I greeted you that morning in college, I find myself dreaming of you that night. It felt truly magical, and I appreciate the delightful surprises life brings my way. My heartfelt gratitude goes to God for blessing me with such a wonderful gift that night.

It may sound nonsensical, but I feel compelled to share the details. The dream unfolded as follows:

The venue was in Pashupatinath Temple, you accompanied by your bestie, and me in the company of my few friends. Initially, I was unknown about your presence, but the revelation came by chance when one of my friends spotted you and shared the good news. We were seated on a bench, casually enjoying an event within the temple premises. I noticed you turning back and looking in my direction, almost as if you were searching for me. After awhile, our gazes connected, and you came over with a warm smile, initiating a conversation. Your expressiveness during that moment was truly remarkable. You continued speaking, and I attentively listened. It was a unique occasion when you were posing questions with a lovely smile, and fortunately, I was responding. Additionally, you diligently sought my presence, spending your valuable time despite exhaustion. I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

The encounter felt surreal, and the duration eludes my memory. In an unexpected twist, your bestie playfully hitted into my head, a strange dreamlike occurrence. Eventually, I woke up, realizing it was, indeed, a dream.

I'm uncertain about the cause, perhaps a coincidence, but it happened to be a reality. In the morning, I couldn't engage in conversation as much as I had intended, but the dream of the night continued my morning efforts surprisingly.

Remarkably, it took six months for me to dream of you. The experience was nothing short of incredible. Despite numerous attempts to conjure dreams of you, it never materialized until that fateful night. It became the night I wished would never end, an unforgettable chapter in the tapestry of my dreams.

The second dream, although brief, it was not the least significant. It unfolded in the college corridor, precisely in the area where our initial real-life encounter occurred—on the way to the basketball court.

Due to its conciseness, our conversation was limited. I was accompanied by one of my friends, and you were with your bestie. Interestingly, the focus was less on the verbal exchange and more on our shared gazes. We walked together for about a minute, and then, abruptly, my eyes opened.

Despite my efforts to resume the dream from where it left off, it proved to be an elusive continuation.

The third encounter was extraordinary and unfolded in this manner.

On that particular morning, I arrived at the college to collect my admit card, anticipating my final year exams in a couple of days. Despite searching in the college garden and courtyard, you were nowhere to be found. A hint came when I spotted one of your friends, signaling the end of your classes for the day.

In various places, I searched, and then Sapkota, a friend well-versed in our situation, urgently called me, revealing that you were at the college gate. I hurried there and saw you standing under the March's sunlight with three friends, engaged in conversation. After a few minutes, you moved to Lumbini, a cafe in front of the college. After collecting our cards, Sapkota insisted that we go to the café where you were. I hesitated, concerned about being recognized, but reasoned that it was unlikely. Thus, I made the decision to go there.

Upon entering, I spotted you facing south in the last row with your bestie on the right. Sitting in the middle of the hall, directly across from you, it felt somewhat awkward to observe you continuously, especially since there was no one around except us and our friends. To avoid direct eye contact, I discreetly looked at you when you weren't facing directly ahead.

It was unusually early for me, and I wasn't accustomed to having anything so early or not being a habitual tea drinker, I ordered two cups of tea to ease into the environment. While you were engaged in lively conversation, smiling repeatedly, we were also discussed on various topics—either related to you or yours—trying to catch snippets of your conversation, though it proved elusive. I found myself smiling, a release from external pressures and fatigue. The experience was truly refreshing, and a sense of joy overwhelmed me, manifesting in a continuous smile.

As far as I recall, that day marked an instantaneous happiness for me. It felt like everything I cherished was right in front of me in that single hall, leaving no room for worries. At some point, you might have glanced my way, but you didn't notice me since we hadn't interacted much before.

After awhile, the orders arrived, and we commenced our beverages; you opted for some fast food, which you shared within each other. As time passed, another friend of mine joined us, and our conversations continued, creating what would become the most memorable day for me.

I had planned to converse with you if you returned to the college. As you departed from the cafe, we followed just a minute later. Regrettably, you headed straight to the bus stop for your journey home.

On the whole, that day marked a significant event as I had the opportunity to observe you continuously for almost 20 minutes, the longest duration for me up until that point. I share these details because, interestingly, you appeared in my dream later that night, surprising me in a delightful manner.

This day marked the third dream, and while the exact location eludes me, it seemed to be somewhere within the city—possibly on a shopping trip. I was with my Dad and one of my childhood friend, and undoubtedly, you were with your bestie. Despite the unclear origin of the plan, we seamlessly played our parts as if we had known each other for an extended period. Meeting up, we set out towards our destination.

Our journey encountered a distraction when rainfall began, leaving us drenched, particularly you both. All your shoes succumbed to the rain. Amidst this, you decided to switch your wet shoes to slippers.

You were expressing concern about your condition and mentioning your impending visit to your hometown the next day. Consistently reassuring you, I insisted not to worry, promising to escort you to the bus station tomorrow.

As the sun began to set, signaling lateness, we decided to return. We all gathered in my friend's room, and this time, you engaged in conversation with me. Later, my friend started preparing food. As both of you, shivering from the cold with icy legs, drew my attention. I tried to warm your legs by rubbing them with my hands, feeling the chill, I just woke up, acknowledging it was a dream.

Once again, in the month of May, you appeared in my dreams. The scene was a forest where numerous people had gathered for a collective task—possibly cutting grass or clearing bushes.

Initially, your father arrived, carrying numerous knives and axes, followed by you. Adorned in a bluish kurta, you looked stunning, radiating beauty as always. It brightened my day, creating a truly amazing experience, especially since it had been a while since my last dream. Although I can't recall whether we spoke, the memory brought me joy. The mere sight of you, whether in dreams or reality, has an unparalleled effect on my day. If it involves you, undoubtedly, my day becomes the absolute best.

We began working together in a group, enjoying the positive energy and unity. However, amidst the enjoyment, something unusual occurred. We became aware of fires and observed a house nearby the jungle engulfed in flames. Concerned about potential casualties, we hurried there to investigate. To our discovery, we found an elderly grandmother and an underage child in a paralyzed state, unable to walk due to the age factor. Together, we carried them to safety outside. The fire was spreading rapidly, posing a significant risk as it consumed almost everything. Overwhelmed with emotions, tears flowed uncontrollably; it was undoubtedly the most devastating situation I had ever faced. Fortunately, we succeeded in saving their lives. As I wished for everything to be well in reality, I eventually realized, after some time, that it was just a dream.

That morning, I had planned to visit Pushpa Sadan, hoping to catch a glimpse of you as you come there to escort your little brother. It had been almost two months since I last saw you. Perhaps my thoughts of you that day were particularly intense, leading to the dream of you that night.

Unexpectedly, instead of you whom I expected to see there, that happened to be the day when I saw both your father and brother simultaneously.

The next dream unfolded in a more peculiar manner than the others. I witnessed you engaging in a conversation with one of my friends, discussing a specific topic somewhere in the countryside. It became apparent that you and your friends were planning to go to the forest to gather leaves for a traditional leaf-art-making occasion.

Since we had already planned to meet you, this presented a golden opportunity for me to strike up a conversation on the way to the forest. Consequently, we decided to join you, and particularly my friend successfully convinced you that we could assist in the leaf collection. You hesitated initially, but eventually allowed us, emphasizing the necessity of wearing caps and masks.

We headed indoors to prepare and returned ready, but unfortunately, before I could see you, I woke up within a minute, experiencing regret and realizing it was just another dream.

The last but not the least, in the enchanting streets of a city somewhere, it was just you and me, strolling in the warmth of an August day. The emotions were overwhelming, the experience unparalleled—the very essence of the best moments. We delved into deep conversations, sharing our interests, and revealing bits of our lives. Somehow, in the dream's mystique, you even shared your number.

Our private world was briefly interrupted as your bestie joined us. Her surprise was evident, and she questioned our connection, initiating a playful banter about whom you were walking with. Your response, "a friend, can't I?" echoed in my ears, bringing a smile to my face. It was, by far, the best thing that had happened, even if it was within the realm of a dream. Our conversation flowed seamlessly, touching upon various topics, with a special emphasis on studies and practical matters. I inquired about your exam preparations, and you assured me that all your files were already signed. In return, I shared my own situation, falsely stating that my practical exams were yet to happen, conveniently forgetting that they had concluded three months ago. In the dream, it seemed like a shared reality, a beautiful illusion.

Before the night, I had intended to approach you and continue our conversation the next day, a plan that, sadly, couldn't unfold in reality. However, in the magical realm of dreams, the desire to engage with you in live conversation was fulfilled.

This marks the last of these dreams, and it has been months now without catching even a glimpse of you in my dream. The memory of that dream, however, lingers, carrying the essence of our imaginary encounters.

*Concdream

These were glimpses from my dreams where I saw you in person. Beyond these, countless times, I visualized you—most notably, we engaged in conversations on various social platforms, and intriguingly, you responded to my messages, which often remained pending for days in reality.

Sometimes, the dreams included remarkable conversations I could never have imagined, and occasionally, you even posed questions to me. It sounded both incredible and implausible at the same time. Unfortunately, the reality mirrored the dream; it was just a fleeting fantasy. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the memories life has given me.

These dreams were beyond my control, occurring unexpectedly and strangely. I sincerely apologize if they cause any discomfort or convey disrespect. Even though it might not make perfect sense, I gathered the courage to share them here, believing it's more authentic than crafting imaginary scenarios.
