The cell door opened, making Riot sit up straight as quickly as possible. He looked over to see who it was and to his dismay, it was the old man. "Get up boy, don't try anything dumb." He said. Two guards stood behind the old man, making sure Riot didn't pull anything.
Riot sighed and stood up. He walked up to the old man and he proceeded to put handcuffs on him. "Trust me, once I'm out of here, you're going to feel my wrath Grandpa." Riot mocked the old man. However, the old man just chuckled and pushed Riot out of the cell and down the hall.
As they walked, Riot looked at his surroundings. He made sure to check every little thing out just to be safe.
They soon stopped in front of a big metal door. One of the guards grabbed the handle and pulled it open. Riot's eyes slightly widened and his heart skipped a beat. "What is this.." Riot mumbled to himself.
The entire room was filled with glass chambers like before but there were no zombies, rather they were filled with mostly men and children.
"What's this about? Why are people in here?!" He shouted. The old man sighed and put his hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, this is for the greater good. We are just trying to figure out how to stop this virus. However, there's something else I'd like to tell you but you must follow me." he said. The old man began walking in front of Riot and he slowly followed behind.
They soon reached another door, but this time a normal sized. He pulled the door open and allowed Riot to proceed. Once inside the room, Riot was directed to sit on a chair on the other side of the table.
"Alright let's begin." The old man sat down and cleared his throat. "It's probably best if I tell you about your friends I suppose." He turned his head and gestured for one of the guards to hand him some files.
"Alright, let's start with Jackal, or would you rather me call him John or maybe Subject 002?" He asked. "Jackal. Preferably. How do you even have this information?" Riot asked with a concerned look on his face.
"Well, I am the one who conducted the experiments on you and your friends so you should expect as much." The old man said as he got back to the subject. "Jackal was are second lab rat, he wasn't tested on as much as you were however his genetics were slightly altered to make him specifically faster than the rest." Riot blanked for a moment after hearing this.
"wait so.. you altered our genetics?!" Riot asked. The old man nodded and Riot went silent. "There's more though, we also heightened his vision so he could see farther than the average human, but that's about it for him. Let's move on to our final experiment." Riot gritted his teeth at what he said.
"So you think you can just sit there and call my friends who are human as well, EXPERIMENTS!?" Riot shouted as he sat up and tried grabbing the old man. Before he could, one of the guards tased him, causing him to fall back into his seat. He groaned in pain, his body slightly jerked in the chair.
"Just try and calm down, we did this for a reason," he said. "Now, David otherwise known as Dozer or Subject 003. He was experimented on the least and was barely even qualified for the experiments. The biggest category we altered on him was his physical strength since we figured you would need some muscle on the team." The old man sat the files down and crossed his arms.
"So do you have any questions?" he asked. Riot sat up straight in his chair and held his gut. "Yeah like why us? Out of all people, why us?" Riot was frustrated and the old man realised that.
"In all honesty, it was YOUR father who sent the instructions. HE'S the reason you're even here. We were only following instructions." he said. "My father?? I barely ever saw my father before this shit show happened." The old man shook his head and sighed. "What do you even call this experiment?" Riot asked.
"The Widow Project"
