The world has really changed after the war with the dark lord and his army of darkness. The dark lord Chaos is believed to be the first person with a Kami ability. Kami abilities are believed to be given by the gods because they have the ability to change the world for better or worse. People can gain abilities by being born with them but kami abilities are given to one at birth because it is nearly impossible to learn them.
The world is divided into those who think abilities are needed and they are the five elders and those who hate ability users who are the military under the world government that joins the military and the five elders together preventing some conflicts that would arise from time to time. But sadly even in the two bodies their are divisions basing on one's rank, influence and so much more.
The lower the rank the more one would be disrespected and sadly our protagonist Shin Chikara is the lowest of the low with an E-rank water ability at Hoshi High School. He undergoes continuous bullying from his peers everyday but he doesn't mind because to him it is another way for him to test his endurance. Right now they are in a lesson and Shin is not really paying any attention to the teacher until he suddenly through a piece of chalk at Shin's face.
It was to fast for him to dodge and when it hit, it pushed him from his seat.
"When will you stop being lazy? Even if you have a weak ability the least you could do is do well in your classes but I guess that is hard request to do" the teacher said in a disappointed tone. But as soon as the students started to settle than the bell rang.
" Before you go next week we are going to are going out for your first beast hunt. As you know beast cores are used to make the weapons we use to fight the celestials and other stronger beasts. Since you are weak you need to make groups of 5 to join and make sure you hand in your groups before this week ends" then the teacher left the room and then the students began to move up and down asking people to join them but one student was just staring at sky with an emotion less look on his face while thinking of how screwed he is.
