Elle kept looking up at her phone's screen waiting for the day to finally end.
Mio noticing her best friend's excitement couldn't help but giggle "somebody's excited to get her new book"
Elle nodded "yep and it even has the author's autograph"
Mio sighed "your dad paid for it anyway, speaking of your dad. I heard he's out on a trip which means you're stuck at home with your mum"
"Yeah"
The school bell rang and Elle jumped up
"Finally. Let's go"
Elle and MiO walked out of the school,
Andrew. Elle's driver waited patiently for his mistress.
"Good afternoon " Andrew smiled at the young ladies in front of him as he opened the door of the car for the girls
"Hi, Andrew " MiO replied
"Hope you had a good day today " Elle asked
"Yes, my day was wonderful "
Andrew drove MiO home first before taking Elle home. As soon as she got to the door, she saw Evelyn standing there with her arms crossed around her chest. She smiled at Elle"good afternoon princess, welcome home"
Elle gave a stiff smile"hi Evelyn. Thanks ". She quickly walked to her room for two reasons. Her package had arrived and she also didn't want to talk to Evelyn
"Elle!. I hope that one of these days we can have lunch together"
Elle stopped in her tracks and turned to look at Evelyn
"I know that I can never replace your mom but I love you and I want to be close to you. So please stop avoiding me"
Elle felt a pang in her chest. She had lost her mother a few years ago and her dad started to date Evelyn. She couldn't help but feel like her mom was being replaced. Evelyn had never for once treated her badly but the thought of having another woman in the house playing her mother's role didn't sit with her. Elle let out a sigh and smiled at Evelyn
"Sure, how about we have lunch together tomorrow, my favourite series just came out and I want to go and watch it and read the next volume"
Evelyn smiled "sure, then we'll have lunch together tomorrow. Go and have fun, I'm going to the mall with some friends".
"Ok,have fun" Elle said as she bolted to her room .
She slammed the door shut behind her and went into her box "it's heeeerrrreeee" she squealed excitedly as she tore the wrapper open and peaked inside her box only to see a small piece of paper "what is this??. This isn't what I paid for" she angrily closed the box and picked up her phone to call the delivery company when she suddenly heard a soft voice "I finally found you. Who would have thought you would here"
She froze "who's there? Come out, is this some kind of stupid prank?"
Another voice spoke "no, no this isn't aurora. They share thesame soul but this girl is different"
Elle felt frightened and angry "what kind of prank is this??". She bent down again, opened the box and took the small folded paper. She unfolded it and was surprised to see the writing in a strange language but surprisingly she understood what was written in it. " Just like the wind she disappeared, gave herself for someone else.
Her love destroyed her but it's still strong. Like a lily her beauty lives on" "what does that mean?" She started to hear different voices at once. People laughing, talking, playing as everything started to change. A bright light came from the box almost blinding her and the next second she vanished from her room and ended up in the air falling. Elle closed her eyes and screamed as she fell down into a river. The current started to sweep her away, but luckily She hanged on to a branch and pulled herself up. She looked around, she didn't recognize her surroundings. "Where am I?"
What's going on?. She stood up and immediately fell back down feeling weak, she slowly felt herself losing consciousness. Lost and unconscious in a strange place
